These are all really fun! It is awesome to see all the pavlovian responses in our everyday lives! Tina runs under the couch any time the bath starts to run, even if it is for me! Tbone comes to sit next to one of us and shakes anytime he hears the oven turn on. I think he is just expecting the smoke detector to go off, which he HATES! Oh, here's another one! We had an eel in our saltwater tank, and when we would dip a shot glass in the water, he knew it was going to be feeding time. We would fill the glass with tank water to thaw out his food, and he knew as soon as the surface was disturbed it was feeding time. |
As soon as I tell Lexie to "go home" (go in her crate) she presses her body up against the back of the couch, as if she can blend herself in and I won't see her. Our golden retriever lays flat on the ground and gives us a pathetic look when she's told to go home. Tucker is the one who just looks at us...until we grab a treat and he's in the crate in a flash. He's even gotten confused and ran in the crate with Lexie trying to move fast to get the treat. Lexie was so offended that he thought he could get in her crate that she nudged him out with her nose and crawled back in. Lol...they are such characters. |

That is just too funny!!! :sidesplt: I can really visualize his little legs flying! He sure has a great since of smell. WOW!! Mine dissapear when I get out the towels and before I even get to the shampoo & conditioner. Azrael is the best at hiding, so she is the first to get bathed, but I have to pick her up & carry her around while I get things ready. :D |
I can't spell sense tonight. :( Anyway this is a very cute thread and I sure enjoyed hearing about how everyones fur-kids respond to their disllikes. It's just so funny. :D |
Whenever I get the grooming table out, Cali runs to my dtrs room and jumps in her lap. Pixie runs to her bed and looks like she is trying to disappear into it. Whenever I get my shoes out Pixie goes crazy barking and jumping at my feet, becasue she doesn't want me to leave. |

I wonder what would happen if you did Chachi first?? Would he run and hide every time you turn on the water? :D |

If either dog hears the lid come off the treat jar , they come running. No matter how quietly I try to do it...they hear . If Chloe sees me with a bow and a brush, she takes off. She knows I'm not good at doing her hair and doesn't want me to make her look bad :) Sydney runs and hides and zig zags from left to right like someone is shooting at her to avoid after bath 'perfume' spray...The bath doesn't bother her but when she that bottle .... she is off ! I recently started the mouth spray and gel for their teeth and now they both know the sight of the bottles and the sound of the lid coming off .Chloe will run and hide in her bed...she's not very creative in her hiding spots yet....Sydney will just lay there and think she is hiding by putting her paws over her eyes and face like I can't see her :D And they know exactly when my dh is home before any of us hear him. |
When i turn the bath on Teddy disappears! LOL Usually he is right behind me and even follows me into the bathroom but once he hears the water on he jets and im like 'where'd Teddy go?' :p |

Chip also doesn't like to be sprayed with good smelling stuff... he wants to smell like a DOG! Everytime I even touch the bottle, he goes runnin'! |
