Shopping: Holiday deals
 
Have any of you come across any holiday deals for our furbabies---specifically internet deals. Me and the furballs are staying inside this black friday---but we are looking for deals.:D

I've looked & looked and can't really find much of any sales for pet stuff. Petco.com is having a "sale" but I don't really think it's much of a sale. I can't believe with as bad as the economy is, people aren't offering better prices.

Do you know where I can get a nice stroller? Do you know if the jeep wrangler is any good? Target is having free shipping for it and I'd like a stroller with good wheels. The stroller that we have now has really bad wheels.

You think they would all give us a break. It's ridiculous how bad all the deals suck for everything.

I did a post a while back wanting people to recommend a stroller to me. I never bought one though because I don't really go anywhere to use one. If I were you, I'd check eBay. That's the good thing about buying online is being able to do price comparisons.

thanks for the link. I think that I may go with the Jeep Wrangler one. It's made by the same people as the happy trails/tails? one
I could use a stroller because Izze refuses to go on walks (still to scared) and one of my poodle's (per vet's orders) isn't allowed to go on long walks because of her luxating patellars---but she loves being outside. So I was hoping to put them both in it...
I would like some sweaters and toys for a little less $$. It's so ridiculous that prices aren't coming down. People are offering up to 75% off of electronics and other items---what about the pets????

i know.. i have heard there were supposed to be these GREAT deals, BECAUSE of the economy..:confused: but i haven't heard of anything THAT great! :rolleyes:

I'm going to be buying a sewing machine to make my own clothes/beds/toys... it will be cheaper...although it will take me a while.
If I could make dresses--it would be so fun and I'd get exactly what I want at the price that i want :D

It isn't online but Target has some really cute stuff sweaters, shirts, PJs, toys for $2.50 - $5.00!!

I make my own dog clothes to save money! If you search online for patterns, you will find plenty and then it just takes some time and practice. Don't get discouraged if your first try isnt as succesful as you hoped!

Thank you! How long does it take to learn?
Having 4 dogs...I can't be fair to them all and buy them the same amount of clothes...it is too expensive...and I'm having trouble finding clothes for my Molly. She's a big girl lol 12 lber chubette.

Sewing is pretty easy if you have patience. When I was only around 15/16, I made my first quilt (a baby sized quilt). When I was a junior in high school I made my 2nd quilt (a queen/king sized quilt). I now make purses, dog beds, blankets, sleeping bags and hoodies. It's a lot of trial & error at first but in the end it's so worth all of your time. You feel so accomplished.

It may take you some time at first to learn (especially depending upon your free time). As you go though, it's like anything else, practice makes perfect. :p

Oh and they also have great books out that you can purchase that will teach you basic sewing terminology, techniques and show you how to even do some projects. Try checking out "Sewing for Dummies" on Overstock.com. Good luck!

I have been buying stuff from this website:Pet Supplies, Dog Supplies, Cat Supplies, Pet Meds & Pet Products
some of their holiday stuff is on sale right now but they aren't doing anything major. I think their stuff is priced better than most other online stores though. I think they have good deals on frontline and advantage, some of their beds are on sale right now too.

I heven't found any ssles online for pets. I should look into making my own doggy clothes but i don't think i have the patience.

Very possible! Also, if you don't find patterns online that you like... check out Hancock Fabrics if you have one near you. They usually have GREAT sales on patterns. I'm talking like several patterns in one pack for like .99 - 1.99. If you ever have any questions, just shoot me a PM and I'll try to help.
