Yorkies with a tail

it just sickens me how some people want the "perfect looking dog" when in reality, many GREAT dogs are homeless or in shelters. docking tails is over rated... yorkies were started in england.. it's illegal to dock tails there... why is it legal here?

My Ivy has her tail too, (puppy mills don't care about things like that as long as they keep on having babies) Only hear in the US people ask you what kind of dog you have.

I have 2 with 3/4 tail. looks like a full tail but doesn't curl over.
I wanted it that way and I think it is absolutely adorable.
I like the cropped tail also if it done right.

My Mufasa has his full tail and I love it!!!! Of course I'd love him if his tail was docked too but that wasn't the question. hahahahaha

My Yorkie has a docked tail.... actually I think it was done too short & wish she had a bit more. But, my Morkie has full tail which is very appropriate for her as she looks more Maltese (except brown). The full tail is so fun and expressive, I find myself watching it all the time to understand what is on her mind.

milu's tail was docked when i got her. i think maybe it's pretty standard in the US for them to doc tail at a certain age? anyways, i think they are so cute either way. (and i hope that it doesn't hurt them getting their tails docked )
someone said something about the ears? do they do anything with yorkie's ears?

also, i have a question about yorkies who have their full tail. does it curl, or does it stick straight out? or it happens both ways, just depends on the dog?

Two of mine have docked tails and my little one has a full tail. They are all cute. The docked tail is so cute when they wag it and the little ones tail is sooo cute when she wags it, it is almost longer than she is.

I think they are cute weather they have a tail or docked tails! My boyfriends yorkie, Pepsi, does not have her tail docked, and she is beautiful!!!!!

its like a circumsision for baby boys.... it hurts but they do not remember it when they get older. puppies know it hurts but do not remember it. they do it VERRRRRY YOUNG... a couple of days old. people sometimes shave the hair off the back of the ears and tape back ears on yorkies if they do not stand up right away.
my girl has her full tail and hers curls up...its soo cute. some yorkies get longer docked tails.... so it doesn't curl up.

I dunno about the tail curling or being straight. Walker's does a bit off both. I am the one that mentioned the ears though. They don't dock Yorkies ears, Its more a big dog thing. Think Great Dane, or Doberman Pinscher. They generally have pointy ears right? Not so, they are born with big floppy ears and have them made pointy. Don't know exactly how and not sure i want to. haha. Hope that helps.

My little furbaby Gidget has her tail. My neighbors bred here and I held her the day she was born. When it was time to have her tail docked I couldn't stand the thought so since I knew I was never going to use her as a show dog, I told my neighbors not to do it. I love her long tail that curls up. In fact after we moved, she was lost for a day and one of the ways we found her so quickly was because of her cute tail. That tail made her very identifiable in our neighborhood.
