Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Does anyone else have a lazy dog? It's amazing. I have to drag Toby to get him to come walking with us. Zoey on one hand loves to take a walk a couple times a day to stretch her legs and go potty. If I gave her the chance every potty time would be a walk around the block. Now Toby on the other hand is very content to take a quick short zip out to the yard and do his business and go back inside and chill out. He is a little over five months and is so laid back and lazy it's kind of funny. Meanwhile Zoey is such a spitfire and full of life and wanting to move around. Am I the only one with a lazy dog?

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | It's frustrating because I want to walk at a nice normal pace. But ever few feet I have to stop and say nice boy toby...that's a good boy to get him to walk some more. Now when we start I carry him for one full leg of our walk around the block. UGG. The other day I gave him the quick walk he wants then put him inside to take Zoey around the block so she can enjoy herself. He put up such a ruckus that hubby told me how could you be mean and leave him behind....lol. Sure blame me. He sat there looking all pitiful while his daddy was his champion.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Audrey-Belle likes short walks, she is still getting used to being on a leash. But she only has short spurts of energy, then she's done. She is not a typical Yorkie in the playful/energy sense. We don't know if it's her personality or because she was in a cage for 4 years and laying around is all she knows. Hubby sometimes calls her his "little lump".

| I wish mine were a little lazy! When it's time to go out, all hell breaks loose. They fight over who's gonna be first out the door, and Snickers usually nips Baxter on the mouth and makes him cry. (He actually screams bloody murder!). And forget about when they see the leashes... need I say more? Our house is total bedlam! sooooo.... count your blessings.

| Does anyone else have a lazy dog? I'm planning on entering the local Humane Shelter walk on Oct 11 and thought I'd get Gucci "trained". We started just walking down the driveway a few times each time we went out to potty. This week I thought I'd get him started on a little longer walk. He's fine for about 4 houses and then decides he doesn't want to go any further. I know he's not tired, just headstrong. He'll continue, but not happily. Of course, once we turn around to return to the house, he's the leader of the pack. He's so afraid of loud noises and even the sound of a car approaching makes him nervous. Is there anyway I can help him overcome that fear? (Thunder doesn't bother him at all, but the vacuum or lawnmower put him over the edge.) |

| Oh yeah! Tucker is the laziest dog I'v ever seen! When he was about 5 months, I had to drag him. He'll walk now, but would rather be sprawled out on the couch. In the mornings, I have to drag him out of the crate. |

| Milo is always sleeping or resting when he is at home with us. But if you mention the words "Eat Eat", "Go Outside", or his favorite, "Wanna go bye bye?" Then his ears go straight up and he is standing at attention waiting for me to put my heels on and go.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | If I mention the word cookie his fat behind is up and in the kitchen or looking for food. The only reason he comes when I say let's go potty is because he likes to be where I am. If it wasn't for that he would be happy to go no where. Sometimes he gets frustrated if we go in the yard and Zoey is taking her sweet time to potty and walks to walk around in it a few times. He actually will lunge at her to start a fight. It's funny in the morning because you see me walking Zoey on her leash and he is in my arms. Oy these buggers are something else.

OMG that was so funny and CUTE, Milo takes his time looking for a spot sometimes. I wonder if the new girl we are going to get will get mad at him like that. LOL I will laugh because my fiance gets impatient when Milo takes forever and it will be like she is on his side, lol!
