Phrases/Words that your Yorkie knows? Are there any words or phrases that you can say that gets your Yorkie going? When I say - "C'mon boys get your in crate" - no matter the time of day, Sam will run to the front door because he knows Charlie and Martin are going in their crate so we can go to the store or somewhere. Sometimes its funny just to be sitting here... everyone all sacked out and say it because Sam will pop up out of a dead sleep. Yes I know.... a bit mean but its still funny. ...thats his favorite phrase but he also really likes "get the boogers" and "i see a squirrell" -- both of them also gets him going! |
Here comes Daddy always gets mine going also lets go bye bye |
"Where's Daddy?", "Where's the toy or ball", "Wanna see?" (she knows this means I will pick her up to look out the door!):D The one we have the Most Fun with is "I'm gonna go HIDE!":p "you wanna find me?" My Husband & I take turns hiding like kids, then she takes off to all the usual places as I proceed to say "where is he?" Of course, it's Hilarious to watch & when she finds him, she gets lots of Laughter/Praise!:p:D |
Bye Bye, Outside, Harness, Here comes daddy, Lets wake daddy up, Put it here, get in your bed, lets go outside, wanna a treat. |
Sit, down, Stay, dance (self explanatory) Off (Holly understands this is to get off of whatever she is on or stop whatever it is that she is doing. Gracie does not get it.) Room (Means "go to your room". Both girls go to their ex-pen when I say this). Nite Nite (Means go to mom's bed and go to sleep-both girls get this one) Cookie/Treat/Yummy (self explanatory) Do you want to eat? (Both go to their food spot, meal time) Bath (shiver and shake, they don't like baths much) |
"lets get the mail", she runs to the front door. "lets go out to the pool", she runs to the back door. "I have to go potty", she beats me to the bathroom. "Want a blueberry", to the frig she goes. So many things, they amaze me. |
Zoe knows Wanna go outside Go pee Get your toy and she runs and hides when I say bath or even get her shampoo out or in some other way give her the impression that she's gonna get a bath. |
Ready for dinner? Want a treat? Where's your ball? Want to go outside? Want a bully stick? Where's Daddy? Who did this? Want to go for a walk? Time for bed? Down, sit etc. |
Belly Rub |
Sit, cookie, kiss, love, hugs, wait, come, dance, beg.... Wanna go outside? Wanna go potty? Ride? Grandma (my mom). She knows my other dog's names...she will find them if i ask her to. I think that she knows a lot more but she ignores me... She can't seem to learn down...because she's focused on the treat...and if i don't use a treat...she's not interested. |
Mojo and LilyGrace know a lot of words. When I say GO ...they both jump in their basket to be carried to the car. When I say BED ...they both run and get on the bed. When I say TOY or BLANKET... they will get them. When I say TREAT.. they will come and sit When I say EAT.. they will go to their spot to eat (NOT KIDDING)!! When I say "Where's Kate" ..they start looking around for my DD. They, of course, know sit, stay, come, etc, etc. |
Funny how they all seem to know similar phrases or words. Sophie knows: 1. Let's go for a walk. 2. Let's get the mail. 3. Let's take a bath. (She jumps in her kennel) 4. Let's go for a ride in the car. 5. Dad's home. 6. Do you want a treat? 7. The word "well" makes her sit up to see what follows. 8. Let's go to your house. (kennel) 9. Let's go to bed. (This can be either at night or in the morning when I leave for work.) :) She also knows "Play dead", "roll over", "dance", "shake", and "sit up" |
