Smokey LOVES the cold! Chip can stand it for about 20 minutes, then is ready to go back inside. As long as it's not windy, they are okay. |
Roxy really doesn't seem to care. It was freezing here in London a few weeks ago, and she'd go outside to potty as usual. We were ecen out for a walk once weith no jacket cuz it wasn't too too cold, but midway through it started to hail! My poor girl looked sdo funny with white little balls stuck to her. I picked her up, but 2 mins from home she wanted to walk again, so I put her down, and she walked the rest of the way home in the rain. Crazy girl...:) |
Love the Snow HazelNut has no problem with the cold. We live in Upper Michigan, 20 degres here today and went for a mile walk. She was all full of snow and having fun, she is a BIG Yorkie, 9 pounds. Last winter as a little pup she loved the snow, cold rain is something else though. I had a 4 pound Yorkie who could never stand anything under 75 degree's. This is why this big one is SNOW much FUN!:D |
Hod Rod is a summer baby all the way. Maggie doesn't seem to mind it as much as him but she does start shivering. |
cold no way ha! hi just pixked up your thread i have 2 yorkies pebbles 4 yrs makes a dash in and out 19 sec max , sophie 1yr has to be forcibly placed in the garden whilst her barking and sad face has to be ignored till she finally goes, then we have 10 minutes sulking in front of the fire, after that i usually get a reluctant kiss .:) i think our babies are more like greenouse flowers that ahve to be spoilt & coaxed and generally loved to bits also to be in total control of anything and all around them. ha! ha! pauline. i live in norfolk gt. britain so the weather is never too goos . |
Carlos does not like the rain when it is cold outside but we had snow today when I took him out and he was like a little kid seeing snow for the first time. He was running around in it and eating it. I told him just don't eat the yellow snow  |
I have solved the cold problem... Last night, I found the cutest pattern for a crocheted sweater for dogs. So, I got right on it and made sweaters for my girls. Allie is adorable in hers. She loves having it on and slept in it. She also slept under the blankets. When I woke up this morning, she was on her side with the blanket pulled up on her little shoulder. Like a person lol. It was so cute. Just thought I'd share. |

Snow doesnt bother cutie but she will run out and do her business and run back in. Rain however she hates! she will not go outside if its raining. or if the grass is wet lol |
Jake doesn't like the cold at all. He will go potty and then head straight for the door to go back in. Jackson doesn't seem to mind it as much. My boys are trained for both indoor/outdoor, as we get so much snow here in the winter and freezing temps. So, if it's raining or snowing or extra cold, they will go indoors on pads. Otherwise, they love going outside. |
Bella doesn't like the cold, so if she does have to go outside she's wearing layers and wrapped up in a blanket and in a carrier! Rocky on the other hand, I don't think it bothers him as much. To me it seems like he takes even longer to go potty when it's cold outside!!! |
As long as we suit him up, Tucker is not phased by the cold or snow but...he hates the rain and will often not potty outside if it is raining or sleeting. |
Chachi goes out in all weather. Jewels doesnt like rain or snow |
KiKi hates the cold...she won't venture outside at all in this stuff...we got her in February and pad trained her...she took to that no problem..in warm weather she will do her business outside...but now that the cold weather is back...she just wants to be snuggled!! I would love to see some pics of Yorkies playing in the snow! |
Mine loves going out in all types of weather, at least so far. Chase hasn't seen snow yet, so I'm kind of excited for the first snow! I put him in a sweater or jacket if it's below 50 degrees. |
