Does your Yorkie punch you? Taylor is 2 1/2 and is our BIG baby. He is 12 lbs. He is so sweet, athletic and lovable. There is something that he does really surprises us though. He punches us! In the morning he punches when he wants his breakfast, he punches us when he wants to go for a walk. He is piddle pad trained but definitely lets us know it's walk time. He punches us when he wants his dinner, and even punches when he wants us to play. It's not that we are slow about his feedings, it's just his way of expressing what he wants and he wants it NOW! It is funny. I just wondered if anyone else has a furbaby that does this. |

Reese is our "boxer". He paws us....and he paws his siblings. Sometimes with the other dogs...it looks more like "talk to the paw". |

Jamie grabs you in the face with both paws ,don't you think yorkies paws are rather like bear claws.Shelby also used to do it,she would grab your face and slobber you all over. |

Teddy does the digging affect with his front paws when he wants something, if your sitting on the couch he will come and paw your legs if this get no results he will then walk on the back of the couch and paw your hair. It's hard to know if he wants to be held or if he needs to go out, or if he just looking for a treat, he will also do this if the J.R. has one of his toys and she wont let him have it, if I pick him up thinking he wants to be held and he doesn't he will nip me and jump down. you almost have to be a mind reader.:) |
Marty is laid back so he doesn't really do anything like that. He just looks at you with his big pleading eyes. Madeline "talks" to you to let you know that she wants something. The ways they find to communicate are just adorable! |
Mikki is our 'puncher'... she stands on both hind legs and thows her full 4.5 lbs. into a double punch... :D If that doesn't work she 'digs' wherever she gets hold of us. If that doesn't work she whines like such a poor little animal in need that you can't resist. Minnie, our diva, kisses and kisses and kisses and kisses... Maggie talks and Maximus is just using his soulfull eyes and sometimes does a happy dance... |

Strawberry doesn't punch...but when she wants her tummy rubbed she'll flop down on my and roll on her back...if I don't do it, she'll kick at me with her legs until I do it. I know I shouldn't let her be so bossy, but it is so damn cute, I can't help but give her a good rub and scratch! If I have company and refuse to do it, she tries to get my friends to do it! :cool: |
That is too funny. I'm trying to picture a yorkie punching like a kangaroo!! Katy Lou will fight me off and box me with her front paws if I am trying to take something out of her mouth (which is quite often LOL) and Sophie will put her two tiny front paws on my face to hold me off when I try to kiss her face. (She's the cuddlebug). |

My Morkie, Meika, taps me with her nose on my legs.... just a little nose poke to get my attention when she wants something. Usually it's when I'm in the kitchen and she wants to be picked up and hugged. Or that's my interpretation, when I'm ignoring her cooking or doing dishes. |

Annie B would poke you with her nose to get your attention. She was the only dog I knew who did that. We lost her suddenly in March and were blessed enough to get Gracie Ruth 2 weeks later. Guess what Gracie does...yep, she'll poke you with her nose to get your attention. The first time she did it I said, Waitt just a minute Annie, momma's busy. Then I freaked out and broke down and cried and just hugged Gracie to pieces. Gracie also pats my face in the morning with her paw as if to ask, Are you awake momma? She does this so very softly and it's really sweet. |

My Yorkie does the same thing, in a way. He like gets a running start....and then uses both of his paws and pushes me in my leg when I am in a chair. Mostly, he does it when I am on this pc. He wants my attention it seems...and needs a lot of it. |
Mine uses his nose and nudges you really hard when he wants your attention. If you ignore him, he keeps on doing it until you give in. If I try to kiss him when he is lying down which he hates, he will kick me hard very quickly several times in a row with his back leg hard on my face. I don't kiss him while he is lying down anymore unless I want to show it to people coz it hurts! |
Too funny!! I know mine sometimes comes up to me from behind and pounces with both paws against my calves until I turn around and give her attention. |
