Who else has a dog who has a weird Fetish? My yorkie Jamie has a really weird habit-when ever it is time to vacuum the house he goes absolutely bonkers. He chases me around the house growling and trying to bite the vacuum cleaner ,he thinks it is a huge game and when he is not doing that he runs to get a toy as if it's playtime.:hearts-xx |
lol. Yorkies have such distinct personalities! Mia has a weird habit. When she is tired she barks and whines, and acts up. Every night she pitches a fit for about 30 to 45 minutes because she wants us to go to bed with her. So I will put her in a cozy cuddlier on the couch, she will chew on my hand if I try to pet her. There is just no dealing with her when she is tired. I don't often want to go to bed at 9!! |
Jamie also gets funny when he is tired my hubby usually goes to bed first and he will follow him around the house acting all droopy and sighing like we are keeping him from his beauty sleep. |
Lucie likes to put her back leg over people. She starts acting like she's going to play but then she'll crash into my leg then put her short little back leg over my foot and stand there like she's stuck. And if I move my foot she does it all over again. My other one, Duke likes to sleep like he's a baby, my dad sits in his chair with him cradled like a baby sleeping. |
Walker is an oddball too. hehe. He WILL NOT come out of his crate if anyone is looking. Its like a fun little game. Open his crate. take two steps turn and look and his heads hanging out. look away then quick look back hes got his front feet out. And hes staring at you all pitiful until you look away again. He will literally stay half in half out of his crate for at least 5 minutes (I've timed it) Until you look away. He's so OCD about it. So cute! I love my crazy yorkie! |
Jamie loves to play he fetches a toy and plonks it down in front of you and then looks at you expectantly. If you try to pick it up he puts his paws around it and you have to wrestle it away from him.If you ignore him then he kicks all his feet on the carpet like some dogs do after they have piddled. If you really ignore him then he barks at you as if saying "Hey,Yorkie here play with me or suffer the consquences" |
Oh I just loved all the crazy little yorkie stories....lol My Daizy is alot like the sleepy ones...that throw fits....however she's very quiet and subtle about it... if it get's past 10 o'clock she just tends to follow me everywhere and stare at me...lol She yawns and blinks her sleepy little eyes ALOT... I'll take her and put her in bed with my hubby but She absolutely will not stay in bed with him.....she will stay up as long as I do...which can be late since I have insomnia...lol Finally she'll get too tired to give me the quiet guilt trip and finally she'll cuddle up next to me and try to sleep. She does it every night!! lol I just love it.. She also loves to tease me with her little "lamby" I"ll ask her where it is...and she'll run, find it and act like she's bringing it to me...she'll lay it on the floor and just watch me and wait for me to reach for it....she'll wait there as LONG as I don't move...lol as soon as I move to grab it she attacks me and the toy!! LOL LOVE THEM PRECIOUS YORKIES!!!! I so can't wait to see what kind of silly things my new baby Tulip does!!! She does have the cutest growl and bark I've ever heard...she doesn't even sound real...she sounds literally like a little toy!! |
Maxwell does the same thing as your with the vacuum cleaner. He tries to attack it and makes a loud high pitch screaching noise, which hurts my ears. He does the same thing when I am using broom, rake, etc. |

Lil' Miss Izzie is obsessed with the toilet upstairs in my bathroom and my shower drain, so ignores the other two toilets in the house...but she loves to hang over the edge of maser toilet and growl at the water or on my shower drain loves to scratch at it with her paws and growls....????? I often wonder what she must be thinking  |
Toby hates when I clean mirrors, he barks his head off, windows are fine, but mirrors are a no no. He also leans down on his forepaws around 10 pm each night and vocalizes that it is time to go to bed, then toodles off to the bedroom with Mr Squirrel in his mouth. If you ignore him, he reappears in about ten minutes and is much more demanding. |

That is hilarious! This cracks me up. My Mayzie won't potty on the pad if I watch. |
i'm so glad to read this thread!!! I thought my dog was a bit weird...now i'm glad to know he's not the only one lol Pasquale will play in my bedroom in the morning with his ball during my shower..and when i'm putting on clothes. BUT as soon as i start to do my hair...it's (tires screetching) STOP. He just stares and watches me do my hair. It's the funniest thing!!! Everytime i look down ....there are those two little brown eyes staring at me. He really is obsessed with my hair. When i'm lying down at night in my bed...he'll sit at the top of my pillow and pet my hair LoL |
Cricket will actually bite or snap at my hubby if he pats me on the behind or something. They play this little game where he pretends he's going to smack me, then when she lunges, he tugs her hair or something. She loves it. Zacchie, on the other hand, has a very annoying habit of digging through the laundry hamper for dirty undies, and dragging them all over the house. Once, I was watching a friend's kids, and their daughter brought me a pair of mine, and said Zaccheus had them. That wasn't even a little bit embarassing! |
Pixie will dig out my pajama's as soon as I leave the house and pull them down the ramp and bring them into the hall and sleep on them while I am gone. She does this every time I leave the house. |
