Please help! I don't know what to do! I think Tiffany may have just had a siezure. She was sitting on my lap and then started jerking her arms and legs straight out. She wasnt really jerking all over, she was just stretched out and kept doing that. Sorry, I'm not explaining it very well. I knew she had been feeling bad though. She had her shots Monday and hasnt acted the same since. What should I do? Call the vet? She has never had any kinds of problems before. She has eaten plenty today also. I'm really scared. |
did she lose control of her bladder? that normally happens with a seizure. i know how scary it is, Darcy has a seizure about every 4 to 6 weeks. They say it is an electrical overload in her brain, and there is nothing they can do---she already takes lasik for her heart. We are just supposed to avoid letting her get over excited. I would take her to the vet. |
I would call your vet or take her to a 24 hour emergency care if yours is not open. Hope she is okay. |
Call your vet! |
omg!!! :( i hope she's ok!!! i'd def. call the vet. |
I would get her to the vet! I know nothing about seizures but they sound terrifying! I will be praying for a good outcome! |

No, she didnt. So I wasnt sure if thats what it was. It was so strange. I called the er vet and they said to just watch her?:confused: She is not acting like herself. I am really scared. I don't know what I will do if something happens to her. |
Kristi, please call your vet asap and keep us updated! Keeping in you in our thoughts!!!! |
Normally for about 24 hours after their shots they can fill sluggish. But anything else and you need to get em to a vet or hospital. After my baby had his first shots he became lethargic and had to be rushed to the hospital. Use your instincts, if you think he is sick then take him in. Is he eating. Normally they don't eat if they are sick. Good Luck with your baby! :D |
If he says to watch her...maybe he is not too worried. I know that doesn't help you. My husband always does the "sick test" he puts a piece of chicken jerky about 5 steps away from them. If they make no attempt to get it, yes, they are sick, because that is abnormal for all of them. Any time that they wouldn't get it, they were sick. It could work with your favorite treat, too. You know her better than any of us/vet. If you are worried, an ER vet an at least do blood work and see if there is something abnormal. If she is acting better, I would give her something yummy, and put her right in the bed beside you to keep an eye on her. |
oh no! I hope she was just stretching.. I would call a different er vet and she what they have to say.. I wouldn't "just watch her" |
She for sure had something wrong going on. Yeah, she has been eating real good. Her shots were Monday, so I don't know why she would be feeling bad from that still. |

Krisiti I hope Tiff is ok. If she hasn't been feeling well since her shot I would take her to the ER vet. When Maya had a seizure (her one and only) she let out a very weird howl, rolled over and went stiff, we really thought she had died. She lost control of her bowels and after a minute she started to slowly start moving first her back legs, then her front legs and then after about 5-6 minutes she sat up. She was really out of it so I ran her to the ER vet and they said she had a grand mal seizure, Please keep us posted. |
