Seizures can be a reaction to vaccinations. I would check with your vet...be sure to document the time and chain of events so you can fully explain it to your vet. Here is a website that is absolutely wonderful and filled with information regarding seizures: Canine epilepsy and diseases that cause seizures in dogs Hopefully you won't need it in the future but if you do you will find it to be an invaluable resource for you and your baby. Good luck...I hope it was just a small reaction to her shots and nothing more. |

I hope there is nothing serious, some pups get sore and get a fever depending of what type os shots they get, :getwell::littleang |
Yea, well if she's eating real good then she probably is okay. When they are sick they won't eat at all and since they are so small they go down hill quickly. I would just keep your eye on her and if she isn't filling better by Monday take her back to the vet. If she has another reaction I would take her to the vet or 24 hour hospital immediatly. ;) |
oh, and how many shots did your vet give her. Some vets will give em a shot in every leg. If she had multiple shots this may be to much. Next time make sure you only let them give one or two and make 2 visits out of it. If this is the case. :p |
I hope she is okay. My Pit always has really bad reactions to shots. We have to medicate him first usually. |

To answer someone else, she is 3 1/2. I have definitely been babying her. She hasnt left my lap! :) I just love my baby so much! Thank you for all the responses. I will keep you updated. |
All you can do is watch the pup, if she's doing better now don't panic. Even if it was a seizure there is really nothing they can do short term. If they persit, like at least one a week they would put her on medication. It was probley just stress from the shots, going there and the trauma of getting them. Hopefully this will just pass for you and all will be fine! That's alot for a tiny little dog. Just watch her really close and if it happens again hold her tight so she dosn't hurt herself. Hope all turns out well for you. |
