The Obama's were interviewed on ET tonight, and they said that the new 1st dog would be a rescue dog, and had to be "hypo-allergic". They have done a bunch of research, but didn't say what kind it would be. Tomorrow ET Tonight is supposed to "help" them decide which would be good choices - they showed pictures of a Yorkie

and a poodle

I'll have to set my tivo to see it, since I have to work tomorrow -

I would love to see a white house yorkie, but whatever they may decide Im sure their children will be thrilled!

that's great that they will be rescuing! And I'm so glad to hear they've done their research. Can't wait for them to announce the news of their new family member

This is great news!!!!!!!!!!! I started a thread about them getting a yorkie yesterday....yes we can !!!!!!!!

When he stated during his speech that his girls deserved a puppy, I immediately though of a Yorkie!! Of course!!

So Yes!!! I vote for a Yorkie too!!

Can't wait for them to announce the news of their new family member __________________ ~Magnifique Yorkies~ Purchasing from backyard breeders, pet shops, and puppymills perpetuates the suffering of other dogs. Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
