We just voted. We only had to wait a couple of mins. Only 478 people had voted in our area so far isnt that sad?

Of course I had problems (Grrrr. Thankfully I had my voter registration name) but they were resolved and I was able to vote. The line for people having problems was just as long as the line for those waiting to vote. :rolleyes:

They were pretty close though even with the unofficial results, we knew he barely lost but we didn't find out by exactly how many votes until they certified the results.

I've been involved in a lot of small local elections and you would be amazed by what you learn just by volunteering for a campaign, any campaign, even if it's just your local rep or referendum. :)

Most military usually do vote republican, but, their votes should be counted also, and if we have to wait, then we should wait..They're the ones over there protecting our country, and there votes should be just as important as the rest of ours

Well, I got down there and got my vote in YEAH! They were out of stickers, but, we're going to run to Starbucks in a bit and get our free coffee(I've never had a starbucks). Their ad says you just need to say you voted, so, that's what I'm gonna do..:)

They were talking about ballots from our soldiers in Iraq etc, is that how it works for them too? It sounded like theirs aren't opened or counted till they are arrive in the US.

It's my understanding that the soldiers vote absentee. So yes, absentee ballots are counted last but they are counted before the results are "certified" a few weeks after the election. They just aren't reported in tonight's results, which is why i was trying to explain that they know that 1% or whatever it is of voters requested absentee ballots so if a candidate wins by more than that % they just report the unofficial results anyway.

Same here with me. My husband and I went down at 7:30am we only had 5 people in front of us and I was done by 7:48 though I did have to wait for my husband a tiny bit, he is a slow reader and he had to read all the Issue 5 &6 information to make sure he voted what he wanted:) The people working the "lines" told us that it had been slow today, but Yesterday they had lines that went outside the building, some people had 1 1/2 hours wait at some point yesterday. I hate lines for anything, so I was so glad that we did not have one:thumbup:

Well, I drink black folgers every morning, so, need to see the difference of the expensive stuff and my stuff..:) I do like lattes, we have another place that is like a starbucks that sells that stuff..now, those caramel and chocolate ones with whipped cream are to die for..:D

I voted! No waiting in line either! There are a few props that I'm incredibly passionate about. If one, in particular, doesn't pass I will raise hell lol.

Okay thanks, I feel better now. They made it sound like the ballots were not going to be here in time to be counted at all on tv. Geez!

I voted early, over a week ago and it was a short line. I feel sorry for those people standing in line for hours, even during early voting.

What I think is so terrible, is the Media..every station you watch, except for Fox News, pushes democrat, and I think that's terrible

I went and voted today. there was no line at all. It was set up for 2 precincts where I went and sadly including myself there was only 3-4 people there to vote. I am glad no lines for myself BUT sad to see so few people out. Maybe it will get busier as people get out of work and such.

What time did you go? We were watching on the news, and they said the best time to go was between 10-12 and 2-4..so, if you went in between those times, maybe that's why it wasn't so busy..My hubby went first thing this morning and had a lot longer wait than I did. I'm sure there are a lot of them that have to vote yet..

My husband and I voted last week here in Florida. I've never seen such an election. I won't say who we are for but we did participate in a march and volunteered for some other things. When we wore T-Shirts with our candidates names on them and went to lunch, we had lots of people coming up to us saying in a whisper..."Oh I hope they win!" It's a shame that people are so afraid that they have to whisper.

That is reported to have happened before. Several were lost or misdirected in the mail. Some went to other countries, a family in England was on the news with a soldiers ballot that came to their home. Needless to say they were not counted.

It was around 11:30 so in the times that you mentioned so hopefully that is just the cause. I do know there are many in this area that are extremely active for one of the people running, so that was why I was rather shocked to see so few people there.

An anchor woman on Fox had a slip of the tongue this morning when she asked what someone thought Obama's first comments were going to be after he was elected president. Then she corrected herself and said IF he is elected president. I didn't think McCain got anywhere near the attention Obama got. Anyway that's why you have to do your own homework on both candidates before you vote.

We voted this morning. It took about 25 minutes of waiting in line, which I do not think was too long.
