How old is she? Lily was bad until about 6 months old then she got alot better little bit at a time. She is only 7 months now but she does go on pee pad most of the time now!! FINALLY!!! She climbed out of the baby expens and over baby gates!! I leave her loose in the house by herself now and close doors on most rooms and she just sleeps for the most part when I leave her. I don't work anymore so it isn't like she is left every day but when I do have to leave her it is hours sometimes and so far she has done great!! I tried and tried to "MAKE HER STAY in a confined area" but she just wouldn't and I closed her in the bathroom before and she cried and cried so i finally just left her go one day and she did fine and I have done that ever since. She has pretty much run of the house now and she does real good??? I don't know if males are different or not?? I do know that "Yorkies" are different than any other dog I have ever owned!!lol It is a good thing for her that I love her cause she is a tough one!!!lol |
Lilly sure is cute and to answer your question, my little terror will be 6 months on Nov. 3 |

I completely understand what you're going through! We'd keep him in a room w/ linoleum while at work w/ a pee pad by the door. After he hadn't gotten the pee pad down pat at 5/6 months, I eventually just reverted back to when he was 10 weeks old and started taking him outside every 2 hours again. We'd manually have him scratch the door w/ his paw before we'd go out. Then one day I was cooking supper and he went to the door and scratched himself! It was a miracle! Then he'd revert back and have a bad couple days then start scratching at the door again. Until he was almost 1!!!! I was so against the dog using the deck as a toilet, but then I would rather that then in the house so when he actually started making it to the deck I was thrilled! We just slowly moved it to the grass! One day though... I know it won't be soon enough, she'll just suddenly get it! Promise!!! Be glad that you don't have a boy who is potty trained completely... except to mark his corners... belly bands have solved that for me! I think we're about to be free of belly bands too! Just keep it up, Remember you love your baby and she loves you even more even though you are really frustrated at times!!! |

We just slowly moved it to the grass! I don't care any more where she goes outside... as long as it's outside. I figure it's at least a step in the right direction. She always poops right in front of the garage door and usually pees on the sidewalk. A couple of times it was even on the garage floor on the way outside. I figure even that was progress. |
