New angle to choo choo for OK rescue Kona
 
OK so after staring at map for days and MUCH stressin and figuring Im now trying to see how many YT'ers we have between St. Louis and Indianapolis that would be willing to help. If we got Kona to St.Louis, who could help this lil guy get to Paulapoo in Indy?????

You may want to pm Jrsygirl37....she's involved in rescues and says they routinely use some type of puppy buses to transport them.

Oh Paula, I hope this works out!! I've been talking to Kona about his trip & his new family:) He gives me kisses each time we have our conversation:D

Awwwww thank you for talking to him about us. Ada (his new sissy) is VERY excited and Diggy says he is ESTATIC about having a BOY in the family. They are close to the same age BOTH passive and snugglers. BFF's!

I was just telling a freind I cannot WAIT to be in my bed with 4 yes FOUR YORKIES!!! My sister is only 2 miles from me so LOTS of sleep overs and we even may trade Bella and Kona out to each other to have "boys" night and "girls" night :D SoooOOoOoooo happy

OH and I am going to get fabric for his x-mas stocking its gonna be made by a YT'er with his name embroidered on it! :animal-pa

If someone can get him from St. Louis to Effingham, Illinois, I can pick him up in Effingham and bring him to Indy. This is a straight shot across Interstate 70. What do you say people~

From where I live, that would be 120 mile trip each way. I can do that except you wouldn't have to pick up in Effingham, paulapoo. You could pick up in Casey (where I live) which is 30 miles east of Effingham on I-70 so it would be a shorter trip for you.

OMG thank you SO MUCH this makes the trip complete if Kims dad is able to drive east of St.Louis instead of West! I will let you know I am SOOoooOOoOoooo excited! I will let you know !

No problem :) I love helping animals (and people too) in need.

So far in my 30 years I have helped at least 24 cats and 15 dogs find a home or find their way home. :p They just always seem to show up at my door. My favorite was bottlefeeding 4 little kittens whos stray mother got hit by a car in front of my neighbors house. The neighbor, an elderly man, was feeding the mother cat. He brought the kittens to me and wasn't sure what to do with them. They were just 2 weeks old, but each one of them lived and found a home! It just makes you feel good.

can u believe it????????? I havent told my sister yet i think she is in bed but Im SO EXCITED 1 less baby needing a forever home!

thank you EVERYONE who followed, prayed, and helped us get Kona to us. now we just need to set dates and its gonna come true.

wow so your another one of those "angels on earth" my mom told me existed huh?????? Never thought Id believe her but over the past few years I realize they infact exist. Thank you

OMG! OMG! OMG! KONA IS GOING HOME!! I am so excited I can hardly take it! Yay, Kona, you get to see your furever family soon :) Be a good boy on that long trip (I know you will be.)

Paula, I am so ecstatic for you! I know this has kept you from sleep and been worrying like crazy for the past week. I am so excited for you and your sister! Thank you to alllllllll those that are helping drive!!!!!

I believe that instead of Kim's dad driving from St. Louis---east to Indy, he is going to backtrack first, pick him up there, and hand him off in St. Louis :) I think! I hope!

Jencar had posted this in the original choo choo thread. :)

If this helps at all, I can get him to the Missouri/OK state lines on I-44. So, we basically need a train across Missouri to Indy.


So i believe she plans to do it :) Kim is calling her dad to set up his end of it She is making sure he knows where I44 is that Jen stated and that its ok :)

Are you free on Saturday? I have spoke with other driver and so far me, poo, and the St louis driver are all free saturday. Thanks :)

Sat. is okay with me as long as it can be very early that morning. I've got to be back in Tulsa for a show by noon. If I can meet whoever, it will have to be by 9:00 AM so I can still make it back in time.

If that time isn't possible, I can check and see if DH would be willing or possibly my son?

yes Amy, I think so! Jencar, Simon and Hallie's dad, Hviola, me, then Diggy and Terri! I'm so excited to finally get to meet Diggy after 2 years of online friendship. So happy to be a part of the train to get Kona/Kodi home!
Saturday is great with me! The earlier the better!
