what to put in the room for puppy when we leave? We have a new yorkie puppy, Lucy and she is the love of our lives already! We do work and have to leave her alone from 9-noon and again from 1-3 each day-we have been putting her in the bathroom with a baby gate until her larger crate comes from the pet store via mail- What do we put in the room? I know a blanket and toy- bed of course but I am confused about if I should put newspaper or a puppy pad in the room and also food and or water? I am thinking water for sure- I am reading many different things-and want to do what is best for her- she is only 8 weeks old- please advise~~~ Also, she loves wet food but has loose stools? Should we go with dry? She does not have all of her teeth???? Again- any advice appreciated- Lucy's mom~~~:aimeeyork |
if i could remember, when lexi was a puppy, i left her wee pad, dry food, water, toys, comfy blanket to lay on, and music to listen to or tv close by so she can hear. |
Thanks Ok- I was just not sure about the pad and the food- But that is exactly what I have been leaving- I guess my instincts were right- We also leave music on- tried smooth jazz and regaee so far- not sure which one she prefers:) |
Sounds like you did perfect...music was a good idea...definitely a pee pad..Are you house breaking her outside, to a pee pad or both? |
training :) pee pads for now- starting outside(just hung some bells) next week! any ideas, tips or thoughts on that are also much appreciated! :aimeeyork |
