Take him to the bank :P. They always seem to go NUTS no matter the size LOL. I agree, I think people are more obsessed with the size rather than the dog. He could probably be half his weight now, same color & same face - everything and you'd get a million more comments on how he looks . Just how the lame society works, I guess. Lilly's a good solid 9 lbs. She gets the cute comments but I think a lot of it is her attire. Maybe not, who knows. All I know is I think she's the most beautiful little Yorkie ever and I tell her over 20 times daily that she's beautiful :p. I think your little one is a dollbaby and I'm sure if Lilly saw him, she'd think so too. ;) |
Oh of course I will keep posting. I ain't going no where! So there! Lol! ;-) Anyways thanks for those who have bigger Yorkies and feel the same way I do. I feel like they are saying my babe is ugly, by giving him the "but he's a good dog" compliment. But I don't care. He is the BEST dog (or pet for that matter) that I have ever had. I don't care if he weighed 2lbs, 6lbs, 10lbs or 16 lbs. He is perfect! And I think a handsome boy. I like the nickname that someone posted... Studly Buddly! That fits him to a T! :) |
he's very cute :-) :D:animal36 I love him :aimeeyork |
I think your Buddy is as cute as can be!!:D |
I think he is adorable!! |
My dexter is only 5.5lbs... he gets WAY more attention than my Fletcher who is almost 9lbs. I don't know if its because he is smaller or the shape of his face or whatnot, but he does get more attention! Fletch is much more friendly and a bit of an OCD and kind of overwhelms people where Dex is very calm and mostly a mommas boy. |
I don't think there could be any such thing as an unattractive yorkie! (except my Pixie when she's covered in mud from the garden! see my photo album! lol:p) but I do think the smaller they are then they of course will get more of the 'AAAAAWWW!' factor.. Pixie gets ALL the attention when we are out and my Staffy will get ignored most of the time..people are just fascinated by such a tiny dog..she even slows down traffic.. can be annoying sometimes I admit..but I can understand it..if I saw a tiny dog on the street I would have to stop for a look too...i'm a very shy person so I don't enjoy the attention..although some people probably think I got a tiny dog for that reason..just to draw attention..I just love the smaller Yorkies, I wanted a little one that I can pick up and cuddle constantly, carry around and sit in my lap..she's very portable! lol..yeah..ok..she's a baby substitute!:p |
I think they are all cute regardless of their size. I have seen some that are cuter than others though. |
I rescued several Yorkies and always saw them with my heart . I never rejected one because he or she wasn't on the standard of beauty . Actually , I have a 16 years old little one that isn't perfect . Some neighbors told me recently that he is so ogly that the better thing to do for him is having killed . I really don't listen to those peoples and will give him cares and attention . After all , if he found me , there must be a reason for it . To be perfectly frank , I never saw an unattractive Yorkie , just unactractive rude irresponsible human being getting rid of animals when they are older or sick. |
OK, I read your initial post and NONE of the replies. I looked at all of Buddies' pictures, and to me he is the kind I would want to grab, climb on the couch with, snuggle up and sleep forever. That's because he's downright "appealing" cute. |

I think EVERYONES babies are just perfect! <3 |
OMG Buddy is adorable and so cute and cuddly!!:D Trust me..I have seen a lot of Yorkies in my lifetime and I have NEVER, EVER seen one that is not cute. They come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, clothes, no clothes, bows no bows, long coat, short coat. They are all beautiful doggies...and Buddy is beautiful and well loved by you and that's all that matters. :D |
Well... like I said, Lilly is 9 lbs and she's still very portable. I cuddle her like a baby, cuddle her like a doggy, take her to PetCo, take her riding, take her to the bank and have even carried her in my arms around a festival not too long ago. Yes, I'm sure there is a difference between 3 & 9 lbs but 9 lbs is still VERY little and VERY "portable". That's all. |
Your Buddy is a very handsome and adorable guy! |
