I am OBSESSED with Ralphie's smell :p:p:p:

Mmmmm...his face, paws, ears, neck, even his sweet little breath :eek:

Everyone thinks I am sick in the head but even when his face is totally nasty and he seriously needs a bath...I can't help myself...I just love the smell because it is HIS smell and he has had it since he was a baby and I am his mommy and so it is therefore my smell. It belongs to me ;)

And even though it clearly drives him crazy; when I am kissing all over his face (which he loves) or even if he just happens to be walking near my face I find myself sticking my nose in his ear and taking a big whiff....I know...GROSS...too much information. I admit that I have a problem. They say that is the first step to recovery :D:D:D:

Oh, and when he yawns I love his little breath. Sicko over hear leans in and breathes it in.

I love the way Abby smells too! There's just something about it that makes me smile :)
Probably because when I'm smelling her, it's because I'm getting lots and lots of kisses!! :p

I actually love Joey's smell, but I don't think it's nasty even when he needs a bath. Sometimes after petting him, I can smell that Joey smell on my hand, and I love it, but its just a Frito-like smell and not something horrible. We do associate smells with good feelings, and apparently you're little guy gives you so many good feelings that even the "bad" smells don't smell that bad anymore. You are in love, and those endorphins make things smell different.

I think Starsky and Shylah's feet smell like fritos!! I love their smell too. They both have their own smell. But Shylah's whiskers tend to smell sour before Starsky's do.

i don't think it is weird at ALL. I love the way Layla smells.. especially when she first wakes up... her head smells... so.. .Layla :)

My two babies are so different from each other. Scooter always smells like she's wearing perfume. She never has a bad odor. Even her breath is sweet. But Jilly can have a bath and ten minutes later she smells like she's never had one!:D I guess it really doesn't matter...I love hugging and kissing both of them, no matter how they smell!

I love to smell mine too. I spray them with vanilla almond spritz and they smell so good. I even spray the kitten with it

FRITOS!!!!! That's *IT*!!!!

I had identified the smell as "popcorn" ... that's what their feet smell like!

Ralphier, don't feel bad: I kiss their feet (like hands), and tell them I love their popcorn feets. Actually, I just love *them*!!!!

Call it their "olfactory identifiers" :D

Don't feel bad, I am the SAME way!!

I have posted several times how I "lean in" when Marcel or Wylie yawn so I can get an extra whiff of their breath, bc they seriously have the cutest smelling breath.

And I LOVE the smell of their heads and necks.

And I actually "rate" their ears with "stars" - i.e., when Wylie first gets his bath, his ears are 0-stars (odorless) - but as he nears his bath time, his ears are often 3-star ears - and I LOVE those cute-stinky little 3-star ears!! I always have to announce to my husband the status of Wylie's ears "We have 3-star ears, honey!" - he's so thrilled with that.

So, yeah - I think I get where you're coming from.... :p

I love the FRITO feet. i smell morgan's all the time. i like her dirty smell too. but i still can't get over the nasty breath smell.

I love their smells too!

My husband has even commented on it.

Baxter always smells good, faintly of shampoo even a week after his bath. His breath is always sweet!

Cooper always smells like grass, dirt, and whatever he ate last! He only smells good for a day after his bath...because he is always outside investigating something!

I think Darcy smells like your old aunt, that wears heavy, stale perfume, and clothes that have the same scent embedded in them.

All of their individual smells are comforting to me, and how strange that the smells are so unique to each of them!

Yay!!! I'm not alone!!

My boyfriend was thrilled to hear that Ralphie is not the only dog to have "Frito" paws. He can never get over the fact that they smell exactly like frito chips :D:D That is too funny...

Now, keep in mind that Baxter is a lazy pup. He only goes outside to pee, he still poops in his litter box. His idea of outdoor fun is laying in a sunny spot in the yard...

BUT...i use Pet Silk Mountain Berry shampoo on him, or this brand I picked up at Petco by Italian Pet Spa...its called Italian Buttermilk & Sugar. I smells kind of like a sugar cookie. It's strange, because I DETEST food scented candles, or anything else, but this is the BEST smelling shampoo I have ever found. There is a vanailla type scent to it, so thats what makes it tolerable for me.
It is very strong & long lasting. I have a bottle of the shampoo and some of the conditioning spritz.

How funny!!! It's nice to know I'm not the only "weirdee" lol I love Daizy's smell too!!!

My sister's yorkie has the stankiest paw smell ever..and she just adores it...I on the otherhand don't... I think it's a MOMMY thing! lol

This post is way too funny!!! I do love the way Cassi smells too especially when she's freshly bathe. About the frito smell, I was wondering what the heck everyone was talking about. Anyway, I just took a sniff of her feet and they do smell like Fritos! That's so weird...

You're not weird. I love their smell too! Its not a bad smell, since they dont have fur they don't have a 'dog' smell imo anyway.

This cracked me up! Mo's breath could make my nose hair curl too before Thursday but with a cleaning, it's all good!

I too have Frito'd feet yorkies. That is too funny.

My first yorkie Auggie Doggie use to have what I called a Frito odor. And I must admit I loved it. But everytime he smelled like Frito's I knew it was time to give him a bath.
