Milu aced my job interview
 

Milu was spayed last week on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, I had a job interview. I was too worried about milu to leave her home because I tried to put a preemie onesie on her, and she can manage to take it off every time. I also tried to put the cone (e-collar) on her head, and she can take that off as well. (well, first she will give me a look that says “I can’t believe you are doing this to me”, which makes me feel SOOOO guilty, and then when I am not looking, she will somehow take off the cone) I was too worried to leave her home while I go to my job interview, so I just brought her with me. When we got there, I didn’t want to leave her in the car because I was really worried about her chewing on her stitches, or someone breaking in the car and taking her. So I took her into the building with me. When I met with the VP of the company for my interview, I apologized for bringing my dog, but explained that I couldn’t leave her by herself because she recently had surgery.

Milu sat in the chair next to me during the interview, and behaved very well. (probably because she was so drugged?:p) The interview went really well, and at the end of the interview, the VP told me I would need to interview with one more person, but he thinks I am a really good fit for the position, and asked me if I had any questions for him. I asked him a few job related questions and then told him I had just one last question for him. I asked him that if I worked for the company, would I be able to bring my milu to work with me. He smiled and said that he knew I was going to ask that question, and he said that milu is so well behaved and that since I would have my own office, he doesn’t see why not! Yay! Milu, we did it!

Now I just have to figure out how to get milu to be so well behaved when she is not hopped up on drugs! ;)

it was out of desperation that i took her!!! i didn't know what else to do!!! (i didn't know she wouldn't wear the cone or the onesie, and that i would have to watch her all the time to make sure she didn't chew on her stitches, i thought i could put the cone on her and go to the interview by myself...)

i know, i was SOOOOOO excited about the being able to take dog with me to work part! i hope i get the job too. i haven't separated from milu since i got her, i've been bonding with her for almost three months now. if i have to go to work without her, i will probably get separation anxiety every morning! :rolleyes:

it's in the financial industry. i would be doing compliance...making sure that the people are giving ethical recommendations to their clients. (as in what's best for the clients) supposedly the advisors will hate me, because i will be trying to make them justify their recommendations, but i am so lovable, i don't see how they can hate me! lol :D

Thank you so much!!!! i love her name too!!! i made it up!!!!:D:D:D i like to play this game with my fiance, to make up names for our future children, because i like to make up names:p one of the names we made up was milu. but when we got our puppy, we just let her have it!:D because i think milu sounds more like a dog name than a human name? it's ok, if i have a little girl, we have another name made up for her that she can have as well. :D no worries my future little baby girl!!!you got a cool name too! :D

yes, i am SOOOOO relieved that the surgery is over with and that she is doing well. i was so stressed about it!!!! (why can't women be more like men and have this compartment to put emotions and not deal with it when situations are too stressful? :p hehe) and thank you for wishing me good luck, honestly, i am not sure about the company being good or not (i am biased against big companies, because i feel that most corporations are kind of evil???) but i am sure i will like my boss, so that's a great thing!!!:DThanks!

thank you :) milu takes really good care of me. i try to return the favor but my heart is just not quite as big as hers. there is just so much love that comes out of her little body, it's really hard to compete!!! :aimeeyork

i love maltese. i wanted to get one, but i didn't know how to clean their cute little white faces. (the tear stain issue some maltese have) so i got cute milu instead, she might have tear stains? but the color masks it :p

I am SOOO stinkin' jealous!!! I keep telling my bf that I wish I had a job that Bella could come to work with me.....I work in healthcare, so I don't think that will happen anytime soon :(. Maybe someday......*sigh!

aww...i am sorry you can't take your baby to work with you. well, guess what, i am thinking that MAYBE there is a possibility that you can look into. what about having bella be a service dog, or maybe not a service dog, but a therapy dog? therapy dogs can certainly go in to hospitals. what you think? :D i think it might be doable! :animal36

I actually have thought about letting her be a therapy dog....not sure just yet if that's something we want to do, but she's still a baby (6 mo.) so I have a little time to think. She gets SOOOOO excited to meet new people that she jump, jump, jumps!, wiggles all over the place, and gives TONS of kisses....people usually say "wow, she's so hyperactive". That makes me sad a little because she is not a hyperactive, yippy dog at all when we're at home or even several minutes after having met someone new.....she just can't contain her excitement!! I think her loving, vibrant attitude would be great for therapy, but I'm hoping she'll eventually calm down a little bit before we think about doing that. A lot of people won't appreciate being attacked with wiggles and kisses, especially if they're not feeling well.
