No Longer a Member | ![]() Could someone tell me why do yorkies have to sniff every blade of grass when they go to potty? When I take Chloe out, she sniffs everything. I don't care if it's hot outside or cold outside or even raining. She has to sniff everything. She also walks back and forth and back and forth and if she doesn't like where she is, she walks on and starts it all over again. My mom's dog Maggie, goes out side and boom, she pees and that's it. No sniffing and no walking back and forth. Of course, Maggie is a Shih Tzu. Hee Hee |

| ![]() I have a sniffer too! And it isn't just grass - its leaves, twigs, bird poo, slugs.......For some reason everything seems to smell more interesting when its 11pm, freezing cold, and I want her to hurry up so I can go to bed ![]()

| ![]() Oh yes, Wrigley smells, eats and plays with every single piece of grass, stick, bug and anything else he can find out there. I think he has learned that after he does what I want him to do we have to go back inside lol So he prolongs it. |

| ![]() I thought Gus was the only one. Gus eats everything he finds on the ground, and it's causing him issues with his health - worms, parasites, thirst, and frequent urination. The vet recommended putting something, like a muzzle, over his snout to keep him from eating things off the ground. |

| ![]() Both of mine are on a mission outside: Must sniff, must taste, must graze. So many blades of grass, not enough time to sniff, lol.

| ![]() Bella must sniff everything too. Every blade of grass, tires tailpipes bugs, spots on driveway, etc. She also jumps at any noise she hears at her night time walk sometimes running away from it toward the house. My husband who loves her, does come in and complain. so funny!!! ![]() |

| ![]() You know what Maya does that I love??? She stands very still when the breeze blows and raises her head to greet it, and as it blows her little hair I can almost see her smile like "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh that feels good, I like that."
