Looking at all these pics of sleeping furbabies, made me wish that I took some pics of Cassi and Ori sleeping. When we got home on Sunday, both of them flopped on the bed and was gone for the rest of evening. It was great meeting you all! Most of all, thanks to the organizer for planning this event!!! You guys did an amazing job. |

I went to the meetup with my sister (cmgny42). We had so much fun. As soon as we got to the hotel, we ran into chattiesmom. I got my dog Gracie from her so it was great to see her again. We even got to see her dog Emmitt that Gracie grew up with. I know Gracie remembered them both and it was so nice to see the reunion. Everyone was so friendly at the meetup. I don't post very often but I read what other people write. It's fun to put a face with a name. I loved seeing all the dogs and their outfits. It was always fun to go back to the hotel because there was always at least one yorkietalker in the lobby. We ran into a bunch of them around town too. What a welcoming place Alexandria is. We went to a few stores and kept asking if it was ok to bring our dogs in. Someone said "you don't have to ask, they are welcome everywhere". It's awesome that you can even eat dinner outside with your dog. It seemed everywhere we went, there was a dog bowl with water outside and a treat for our dogs. Our dogs were up early in the morning and stayed up until about 11:00 at night without a single nap. They didn't want to miss anything either. It was such a fun bunch of people all with the same interest. Gracie slept the entire drive home yesterday - about 9 hours. She's still tired today. Thank you to all the meetup planners. I think you did a spectacular job. It's not easy to keep everyone happy. I think the activities were well planned and ran on schedule. I liked looking at the items from the vendors. The people that donated raffle items were very generous. The dinner was delicious. I'm sorry we missed the pajama party, we were pooped by that point. It looked like fun. I feel like we met a lot of people and made some new friends. I really enjoyed myself. We are already thinking about 2010! :D |
I would like to give a big "Thank You" :thankyou2 to Misty, Judy, Cindy, Jenn & anyone else involved in the planning of this great, great Meet-Up. Good Job, girls!!!!:good job: |
Just wanted to add my Thanks to everyone involved with putting this event together. I know it was a tremendous amount of time and effort that went into all the planning and execution. Great job! We enjoyed ourselves very much...poor Hot Rod and Maggie have pretty much slept since we got home Sunday. Hubby said that when took them out at lunchtime, they were still alseep where he saw them after breakfast, lol! Mommy is pretty tired too! (from all the fun) Great to meet everyone and putting faces to screennames! |
I did not want to lose the link to my online photo album inside this thread so I created my own there with the link...since so many member expressed interested in the link i did not want someone to miss it...so here is a link to the thread I created! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...yt-meetup.html |
It was so much fun and I'm so glad I had an opportunity to meet everyone that came! My dogs were so tired afterwards (they slept for the next 1.5 straight), but they had a blast too. Poor Chip though. Mommy did a bad thing and put the wrong harness on him and now he has a really big, bad sore on his chest. I thought I had gotten rid of the harness that did that to him, but I guess I didn't. That harness is going away soon! Also, the pad of his paw opened up again on his walk to lunch so he's got a sore paw. Poor guy! I don't know what I'm going to do with him! And hahaha Smokey looked so BIG compared to all those little ones. I do believe he was the biggest there. Ahhh, my sweet little gigantor monster! My camera was too slow, but there would have been a cute picture when a bunch of tiny little girl yorkies (like 5 or 6) surrounded him to sniff and he looked like the big, macho ladies man. |
I wanted to thank all of the planning commitee for the great job they did in organizing the 2009 meetup. Misty, Judy, Cindy, and Jenn and any of the others that helped out as well. Thanks so much. I had a great time and you all did a great job with organizing the event. :) |

My husband Dale and myself would love to thank everyone who was involved in planning this wonderful Meet Up. We had a wonderful time and cannot begin to tell you how much it meant to me to meet you all! I think I cried through the whole weekend and they were all very happy tears, except when it came time to say good-bye. We are so blessed to have met you all and will cherish each and every moment spent with you. Thank you again for memories that will last a life time. |
