Can someone tell me if june 1st is the deadline to registered to go? And if so why is that since the event is not until july 16? Thank you.

We may be able to extend it a couple of days but I'm still trying to confirm that with the event planning staff at the hotel. We have to have a final count so early as we are having to confirm food needs for the catered dinner on Saturday night.

Im excited about the agility event, I am thinking about putting Izzy in training so he can burn off his extra energy! LOL

On another note, does anyone know if they are allowing us to take the dogs on the Metro Train or Metro Bus? Just wondering because I live in D.C. and would love to use mass transit rather than drive. The traffic can be a mess at times!:eek:

ok i just need as long as i can to get my money in for my registration fee....but June 1st was right around the corner and I still had to ship out my GE gifts. hehe...hopefully I can meet the deadline...

everything seems to be going wrong from me...car keep breaking down...and is now about to cost me $400 to fix. Which I had to borrow from my mom.

I'm so sad I can't come, but I just joined and found out about this wonderful event. I gave it a bit of thought, hoping I could work it out, but I don't think I can pull it off this year. I just turned in my work schedule which covers this time period (they make us schedule so far in advance that it is silly...) and I just can't make it work.

But, if it is an annual event, I'll be there in 2010!!! I'll put in for vacation, and hopefully I'll get it. By this time next year, I'll be on a weekend plan (work Friday and Saturday nights, 24 hours total, get paid for 40 hours!), so when I take my two nights vacation, I'll be off for two weeks. :)

I can't believe how accomodating the hotel is being about the dogs. Oh my, I can't imagine all those Yorkies in one place. That should be on the news!

I hope to know by this weekend whether we'll be making it. I've been trying to slowly 'car break' Ori. He's so nervous everytime when we take him out for car rides and a couple of times he threw up. Where as Cassi absolutely loves car rides. I really want to go and have finally convinced DH as well into going. Now it's all up to the little guy... :rolleyes:

Have you tired putting him in one of the small enclosed carriers will a blanket over the top? Sometimes a nice cool quiet place to take a nap makes a car ride so much easier.

Good idea! My coffee is only happy in the car if he's in his travel crate. Makes a world of difference.. they feel secure;)

Thanks for the suggestion. :) I've actually tried keeping him in his bag last time when we were in the car and he seems to do alot better. I'm going to take him out for a car ride tomorrow. I'll see how he does staying in his carrier.

It's going to be a long 4.5 hour drive since I'm going to have to make a few stops for the little furbutts. :p

This is the first I have found out about it. This sounds like a blast.
I also have the same problem with work schedule, so if I know plenty of
time in advance, that works.:(
This year I have a new baby yorkie girl who is only four month old, not ready for such big trip yet and I also have a eight month old yorkiepoo.
Both are just a little to young for all the excitement, but next year I think we could make this work. I hope they keep every one posted on this during the year.:D

YIPPIE! Thanks to the cooperation of our friends at the Sheraton we are able to extend our registration deadline until June 15th. Please remember that all registration fees must be received by midnight on June 15th. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me, Judy (Gingergirlsmom), Cindy (chattiesmom), or admin.

Also don't forget to reserve your rooms at the Sheraton we are still a few room nights short of meeting our minimums.
