Grinding Teeth?? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Has anyone heard of anything what sounds like their yorkie grinding their teeth while sleeping? My baby girl Bailey is 10 weeks old and she sleeps by me and i can sometimes here what sounds as though she is grinding her teeth during sleep. Is this normal or is something wrong? ITs not all the time every once in a while but still concerned.

Hi! Yes, I use to hear Gracie doing that often too. When she was younger, she's much older now at 9 months

, she would sleep on my pillow with me so she was right by my ear. I would sometimes hear grinding and soon realized that when she'd swallow or lick her lips while sleeping that the noise was her loose baby teeth grinding together. I've not heard it since she's lost them all. 10 wks sounds like a little young to be working on loosing teeth, but maybe it's possible.

Yeah i just wasnt sure i heard her do it again today and i thought it was young for the loosing teeth stage. So i didnt think of it being that. I just didnt know if it was normal to do this at 10 & 11 weeks old!

I would hear Mia grind her teeth at night and now she doesn't, so I'm assuming it was because of her puppy teeth when she was younger and hadn't lost them yet.
