Rude Lady! So today I went to Petco to buy some Greenie Lil' Bits For Brianna, some Wee Wee pads and to take Gracie to get her nails trimmed. This lady that is sitting next to me tells me how cute Gracie is and we started talking. She told me that she had always wanted a Yorkie but that the reason why she owns a Shih-tzu is because Yorkies smell bad and that she can't have a smelly dog in her house!! I told her that of course if you don't bathe your dog that your dog is going to smell bad... and she said that bathing them did not help much cause she has a friend that owns a Yorkie and that even though she bathes him everyday that he is smelly .And she stood up and left. Can you believe her? :angry: :angry: :angry: |
Her friend must not use a good shmapoo or conditioner on her yorkie because mine don't smell. |

Well i think her friend must be lying or not using anything when she bathes them (just water), or a low quality shampoo/conditioner. When i give charlie a bath I use a lilac smelling conditioner and he smells good for DAYS not just one but like 3. And after that he still doesn't smell bad, he just loses the lilac smell. |
haha okay i'll admit...Bentley does get stinky!!! but all you have to do is give him a bath!! then he smells good again!! |
Rude is not the first word to came mind ;) . That lady is so ignorant. My Yorkie has never smell and I bathed her once a week. I cant believe her friend bathe her Yorkie everyday. I agreed her story doesn't make any sense. I will say she is just jealous. |

None of my animals stink. I have 2 Schnauzers and 2 yorkies, they all gets baths once per week and they have never smelled. I don't know where she got this idea from, but I think she is wrong. |
My dh says Trace smells :( And I\'ll admit today he does cause he has dried beagle spit all over his head :eek: So into the sink he\'s going. The good smell from shampoo doesn\'t last long because he usually gets in the pool to go swimming and that pretty much takes the scent with it. And I agree dogs that spend alot of time outside, do have that outdoor dog odor......pee ewww |
Hey, I just thought of something....like I always do....my SIL had a Shih-tzu and HE stunk sometimes too....so there, rude lady |

Seriously, who in the hell bathes their dog everyday? It is bad for their skin! The only thing I can think of is maybe her friend uses bad shampoo and has let her dog develop an untreated and smelly skin condition, More likely I think this lady was just a B&$*h and talking out her A%@$!!! My yorkie doesn\'t smell, half the time he smells better than the people around me in a public place. What a rude person you had to deal with! |
