I thought the same thing about her marking her territory. I was watching her today and sure enough, she did it again! She must have walked at least 2 feet before finishing her stuff. :confused:

Tina held her leg out straight when she tee teed because she had a cast on her back leg from breaking it. What was funny was that after the cast was removed she still held it out for along time thinking she still had the cast. Kayla really does something weird. She will stretch her legs out behind her but will hold her front legs up. It is the wierdest looking thing I have ever seen. I thought she was tee teeing at first and I guess she was only stretching her legs. lol!!!

My Shih Tzu squats and extends her leg when she pees. She has long hair, and I think she is trying not to get her hair wet.

My female Bichon has always done that. I think it's her version of marking. She will pee where one of the other dogs has gone.

Callie squats and lifts one of her legs a little and honestly I have no idea how she keeps her balance lol

Johnny squats and lifts his back left leg but when he's finished, 90% of the time, his foot goes right in the spot where he peed!

My boy lifts his leg so high I think he's going to tip over sometimes! He has good balance though :)
My girl squats and then lifts one leg just slightly off the ground, I always thought she must've learned from her brother, lol

Hmm Humphrey squats, pees and then steps on it and walks around with pee pee paws, its very frustrating. I have to walk with a towel and then wash his paws with warm water and soap.

So silly of me, I thought my Mandy was unique... she squats and also extends her leg... I thought it was to make sure she didn't pee on herself as well! From all the other posts... I realize she is just normal! With her other sweet quirks she is unique in her own way! lol

I have :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork squaters and :aimeeyork:aimeeyork that lift legs...they are all girls too. Kissy and Candy both squat but extend their right leg...never the left. They balance on 3 legs while they squat. They are so funny. Angel kicks back after she pees too. Kissy only kicks up grass after she poos. :rolleyes:

My shih tzu has done that for as long as I can remember. But I just noticed 8 mo old Seeter doing it lately.

Peaches does the same thing, but squats so low I know the grass or the pee pad are touching her. And now that she is pregnant and due this month, I see it's harder for her to keep her balance, and she touches her little foot down several times like she's tapping her toes. Its funny but sad too buz I remember all too well how hard it was to be top-heavy; in her case - bottom heavy.lol

Sissy does it also. We joke and say Bubba trained her. She does it when the grass is too long.
