what kind of food do you give your yorkie? I'm looking to change brands and needing direction. Just wondering what everyone else buys. Thanks. |
ychicken soup for the puppy lover's soul - high quality food. |
I use Royal Canin # 33 for both my 9 month old Yorkie and my 7 year old Papillion. They both have sensitive stomachs and the Papillion had skin problems. Since being on the Royal Canin for a little over 3 months both issues with the dogs have disappeared. I fed Baron Royal Canin puppy # 27 until 3 weeks ago. He did great on it... Hope this helps. :aimeeyork Baron's Mom |
Layla gets home cooked for 95% of the time but when i have to use kibble right now i'm using Wellness but will be changing to Natural Balance whenever we need new kibble. |
We use Natural Balance Small Bites and then we also give them soft food that we get from our vet. |
I use wellness puppy for my puppy and wellness small breed for my 3 year old, I love it and it has a high rating on the dog food quality, if you look in the health and nutrition it has a list in there!! |
Wrigley gets Wellness Puppy |
I feed all mine Life's Abundance Health Food. Created by a Holistic Vet its a high quality Health food. |
My babies get Orijen adult formula dry kibble and Halo 100% Protein Treats. We have never had a problem :D |
Romeo eats Nutro natural choice. (only because the picky pain in the a$$ won't eat anything else) I am trying to switch him to Wellness. no luck. |
We love Natural Balance. My guys love sweet potato and fish but they also love those rolls that they make...they are kind of like a sausage. We give them as treats. We cut them up in small pieces and they make great training treats! |
Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream. |
I feed Duke Bil Jac Puppy, it's dry food and that's what his breeder fed him when he was baby. It's premium as well although I'm starting to see that not many people on here use Bil Jac. |
Brady gets "Blue" for small breeds. Its made of deboned chicken, whole grains, garden vegetables, and fruit. There philosophy is, "If it's not good enough for us, it's not good enough for our dogs". The website for the dog food has the following story of why they started the brand: Blue, Bill and Jackie's large breed Airedale, who is the inspiration for our company and one of the best pals who ever put on a collar. When Blue had his last bout with cancer, we did some research and found out that cancer is the number one cause of death for both dogs and cats. And while there's a lot of research going on relative to the causes, prevention and treatment of cancer, many veterinarians are beginning to link the increases in environmental toxins with the growing incidence of this disease. We hadn't thought much about toxins in the past, but when we looked into it a little further we found that they are virtually everywhere. Almost all of the household surface and rug cleaners have warnings on their labels; lawn and garden fertilizers and pesticides are toxic (just look at all of those little yellow signs) and the list goes on. This doesn't even include air pollution and the decline in water quality (which is why bottled water has become a multibillion-dollar business). All of these things have a big impact on dogs and cats because of their size and proximity to the toxins themselves. Once we had this information we decided to make a food that would include ingredients to nourish our companions along with ones that had been scientifically shown to provide an extra level of protection against environmental toxins. Our first step was meeting with leading experts in canine and feline nutrition. With them, we developed the BLUE™ Life Protection Formula dog food and BLUE™ Spa Select™ cat food. |
Most of ours get Natural Balance..but my smallest boy (Mojo) eats Honest Kitchen. |
