| ![]() I'm going to look and compare treadmills tomorrow for myself, and thought it would be funny if I could actually train Deegan to walk on it too. Just wondering if anyone else's dog does this? I mean, I doubt that he will, and if he does it won't be for very long, but just wanted to know if anyone else ever managed to train their fur friend to use one.

| ![]() Yes...I know I've seen the video of it. It's adorable. That might be a good idea for the winter although I wonder if the dog's feet will be bothered by the tread?

| ![]() I'd be very careful, you don't want him to trip and get hurt or anything. But if it works, it would be an interesting way for him to get some energy out, if he goes for it that is lol |

| ![]() Oh yes, I would only try to put him on there while I was watching and not at a high rate of speed. And I'm certainly not going to force it on him.... But if I manage to get him to do it I'll take some video and post it. I agree - safety first though!!

| ![]() Both of my boys are treadmill trained and they love it. I swear, if they could turn it on themselves they would. I will try to post a video on here when I get home. It really comes in handy during the rainy/cold months when it is too icky to take them for walks...running on the treadmill allows them to burn off the extra steam from being couped up all day. Constant supervision and good judgement are very important. Best of luck!! |

| ![]() We got us and the girls a treadmill last year so that we can still do our walks when it's raining. You would be surprised how quickly they take to it, and it's wonderful exercise. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...admill11-5.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...eadmill1-1.jpg

| ![]() When I am doing my running on the treadmill, trixie stares, and make movenments as if she wants to join me. It is just curiosity, but I am to scare to let her get on it.

| ![]() I taught my Siberian Husky to run on the treadmill. She loved it so much she would go up to it and bounce up and down trying to get it to turn on. It's nice for those rainy days you can't really have any outside play time. Be VERY careful though! A small dog like a Yorkie could get hurt pretty badly on a treadmill.

Nice, what speed do you use for them, and do you walk them slowly or a small run? ![]() | |
