Mocha licks. I "EEEEEEEW"-ed every time she does that, I have to remind myself it's natural, and GOOD that she cleans herself.;D

I wipe about twice a day. Because of pee, but then while I'm there I do bottom too. She doesn't mind it much, when she lets me ;) She poos very cleanly, unlike her pee :(

Hmmm...I'm debating whether to start wiping or not. I usually don't wipe her unless she needs to be wiped. Normally she has clean poop.

If there is nothing there to wipe, what would you be wiping? Something that's is strong enough to kill all germs would probably pretty drying on her bottom. I say continue as you have been, only wipe if she needs it, in other words, obvious poop is showing.

I'm glad to see your post! Now that winter is coming, I would hate to wipe her all the time and irritate the skin around that area. I guess I'll continue to do what I've been doing so far...haven't had any problems. Thanks! ;)

Garrett knows the drill too, I check his bottom when he poops. He gives me his butt and I lift his tail for a quick inspection.

If he's clean, he's good to go, but occassionally something goes astray;), then we go for the puppy wipes.

My husband rolls his eyes but if I'm not present when Garrett poops, he' sthe first one to tell me to check his butt, it goes something like "Garrett, go give Mommy your dirty butt to wipe".

The kids thought I was crazy untill I said ok, it's your bed he's on with his dirty butt....now they check him too :D

I wipe my angel if she doesnt look clean enough,the last thing your want in your house are poo poo streaks on your clean carpet....:eek:

I dont wipe, if they have poo on them I give them a bath. But normally they have clean poops and no straglers. I do however get to wash Khloe often because she gets pee all over the inside of her legs, I have her trimmed up very good and she still manages to get pee all over her. So about every other day she gets a bath :( She also rolls in the dirt outside so she needs one that often anyway..

I totally have this problem. Worse thing, I haven\'t been able to snip the area properly :( Which is why i wipe her everyday.
