| Walking Multiple Yorkies Together What's your experience with walking multiple Yorkies together? I can't walk Squirt and Gus together, because they have conflicting walking behaviors. This means a minimum of three daily walks per Yorkie (six or more walks). With thoughts of adding a third Yorkie, walks could take a significant amount of time, unless I end up with a compatable walker.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I walk three together and it helps if everyone is walking in the same direction. Mine all come to work...walking together is essential for potty breaks...I think continually walking them together helped. Some people will suggest a splitter....it's a connector from each harness to one lead. I never used one though...mine don't want to walk that closely together.

| I have 3 dogs (a l0 pounder, an 8 pounder and a 4 pounder). I have the connector for two of them. This helps them to stay untangled if they cross over they do not tangle up. That is wonderful. Practice does make perfect. My girls like to wrap around my legs but once I get them moving forward they are fine. I put the two that walk the best together (strongest walker on the left.) The small dog has her own leash but I have thought about the possibility of adding her leash to the connector. The secret is just "PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT."

Mom to Marty & Maddie Donating Member | I walk Marty and Madeline together all the time. They LOVE their walks, but both were very stubborn about pulling on the leash and took a lot of work to get them to the point of ME walking THEM instead of THEM walking ME. lol! I'm so glad my husband and I spent the time to teach them to do it right cause it makes the walks a million times easier and more enjoyable for all of us. I don't use a splitter, but it sounds like a good idea that may help. Good luck! |

| You have a good opportunity to exercise. I would take it as that.

| I have three dogs as well and we take our walks with 2 (biggest dogs together, 12lbs & 8lbs) on a splitter and my little one (4lbs) alone. It's not too bad although the biggest dogs are terrible pullers and it makes it kind of difficult but we eventually all get the hang of it. I've tried splitting them up (one puller alone) but then the little one would end up being dragged half of the time. So that's the ideal combination, the pullers together with the little one alone.

| We are walking our seperately until Bella gets older, she is currently almost 7 months. She runs on walks and does not have the technique down yet, plus everytime Buddy lifts his leg to pee on a tree she runs under him and gets her head marked. I still try occasionally but just think how good 6 walks a day is good for you!

| I took my babies out for trick for treating walk. They almost killed me. They just kept tying me up and getting twisted around each other. Coco would stop to smell something and Pebbles would just keep walking. They were hilarious. My kids just kept laughing and laughing at their antics. By the time I got home with them I was exhausted. I have 4 'skin kids" that didn't give me this much trouble! COCO PEBBLES |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I can take Cali and Roxie together but Cali won't come back so I end up carrying her. There is no way I can walk 3 or 4 of them together.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Can someone tell me when they figure out the secret. I swear it's frustrating. When I walk Zoey and Toby together one wants to go smell and the other wants to walk. I switch back and forth from one leash on each hand to two leashes in the same hand. It's frustrating. Toby is so not into a long walk and after a bit he is ready to turn around and go home while she wants to keep on going. I know a few folks have recommended a coupler but someone recently had a baby that hurt a disc in his back because of their difference in walking style. So I am not sure if that will work well.
