OH, and forgot. Both my dogs are lap dogs. I just got a 4 1/2 month old male and he is a cuddlier. And I have a 5 year old that has to be in a lap and touching me at all times during the night. She sleeps up high close to my head.

Sounds like my Kewpie, she is 5 months old. This is my first Yorkie, but not my first dog. Mine will sit with me or next to me, but wants to run away when I try and pick her up. I am sure it is puppy play.

sorry but if you wanted a lapdog you should have gotten a teddy bear. people a t a local gun club even use yorkies to hunt for them their all terrier

Punky, my smallest yorkie, is my lap dog. She sits on me anytime I sit down, but my other yorkie has to be in the same room with me at all times. When I'm cleaning house, she moves from room to room with me.

Megan was a lap dog, she wanted to be on my lap most of the time, unless she was cold, then she was on my wife's lap. Gina is 18 weeks old today, she wasn't much of a lap dog, she is getting to be one now, she will sleep on my lap or in my arms more often than not now. When we first got her she wanted her crate, or if she got on a lap, it was for a few minuets, then she would move over a little bit, then farther and so on. Be patient and hold them as much as they will let you, and don't forget to be part of their playtime as much as you can.

Barney is 8 months old. I thought he would never be a cuddler. He still is rough and tumble but at bedtime for about the past week, he has been crawling up and curling by me. Right in my tummy. I love it. We adopted Anna, a 6 year old, and she is a Velcro dog. She sticks to me wherever I go. They do eventually settle down, but it takes time. Right now, they are both in my lap rolling all over and biting each other. They actually just posted my response which I am now having to edit. Sometimes cuddling isn't so fun.

How exciting that you are getting a baby soon? When will you be getting your precious little bundle of joy? Is it a male or female and have you picked out a name yet? Sorry for so many questions...I just love babies and that sweet puppy breath. :D Jasper is 7 1/2 months old. So technically, he is still a puppy. But, his hair coloring has been changing and his muzzle has grown out. But he is so precious to me. :)

Presley was like 5 before he ever calmed down. But he has never been a lap dog. But, he does have to be touching me in some way. There is a part of him always touching me where he lays. If I move, he moves so he is still touching me. It makes for jacked up sleeping positions for me at night let me tell you.

I should be able to have her in my arms by the end of the month. As she will not be 12weeks until around the middle of Sept. I am also going to have her spayed before she arrives. So that may be a delay as well. We meaning me and my daughter have decided to name her Minnie. Full name will be Minnie Moonshine. My mothers last name is Luna, Which means moon in Spanish, So I got moonshine from that. As well as my country gal side of me. HE HE. I couldn't agree more. The puppy breath is always so sweet. Until it gets stinky. : )

Omg!!!! What are you getting? I'm also being a mom the 26. I'm getting a frenchie girl all white. I'm looking for a name still please help me out if you guys have any name ideas :) she is also going to get spayed.

Well my mother has an all white German Shepherd & We named her Fiona. Which means "Fair" That would be a cute name.

No long now...let the count down begin! ! Lol I love her name and how you came up with it. :p I will be looking forward to seeing pictures after get her. :D
