| OMG! I think Oliver is a Morkie!!! Seriously! I don't want to go into details (maybe later...when it's not so late at night! ) but long story short, Oliver came from a puppy mill! When we picked him up the guy had maltese puppies also. What makes me think he's a morkie? He doesn't have the typical hair a yorkie should have, or that I think he should have. His hair seems to be more coarse and straight. Also he has a white chest and white tips on his back toes. I googled some morkie puppies and I saw a couple that look just like Oli! What do you guys think? I guess it's hard to tell with him being so little, but I have serious doubts that he is full yorkie! Brooke |

| Do you have a picture that might help determine. My yorkie has coarser hair too. He has a cotton coat.

| I don't know much about Morkies, but Shelby has white on her chest, and on the tips of her toes and she is a purebred yorkie. |

| A lot of Yorkie pups have white on their chests and their toes. This is totally gone by the time they get their adult coats. I wouldn't go into a panic over the type of coat he has. A lot of times when people mix breeds, they get a cartoon version of what the result should be. In fact, a lot of times the result can still look like a purebred of the mothers or fathers breed. Yorkie coats vary, even in puppies. You can learn what type of puppy coats to maybe stay away from if you don't want the adult coat to be an undesireable way. He looks like a Yorkie in your avatar. Maybe I need to hear the rest of your story when you get the time. |

| No we didn't know this guys was a puppy mill. We found out when we took Oli to a local Belgian vet, and she told us that he is no good. Apparently he's got a lot of people fooled. We paid extra for pedigree papers, but I have a feeling we'll never see them. It's so difficult being in a foreign country! If we were in the States, I'd know exactly what my rights were and stuff like that. Here it's not so easy. It's hard to find a place that really cares about customer satisfaction. I have a picture, but it's from a couple of weeks ago. My recent pics are on the laptop which is out of town with my husband! I wish there were a way to tell for sure. His feet seem to be a lot bigger than my friends yorkie puppys (who is Benny's brother). Brooke |

| I agree with Fran....he does look purebreed...paw size is supposedly just a indicator of how big they may get (not sure if true or not)

| I'm bad at telling them apart, in terms of mixing of breeds. But your baby looks like a Yorkie to me. I think if he was mixed with maltese, his hair would be more curly/wavy. His hair looks very straight, like a yorkie. I could be wrong. He's gorgeous either way. I want to pinch his cheeks
