Every Christmas my town has a horse drawn carriage parade, it's a HUGE event and draws thousands and thousands of people! As far as the pictures. I've had people ask if they can take pictures of them in their stroller and when they have clothes on. I think some people are fascinated that you put a dog in a stroller and dress them-up! lol! |
When we went on vacation this summer a lady and her boyfriend ask if she could hold Lucky. It scared me to death. I was afraid she would run off with him but I let her and her boyfriend took pictures. Lots of them. Strange.... It did bother me. |
My answer is unless it in the show ring and related to that is get your own dog this one is mine. We walk away. JL |
The only thing I've ever had happen is people wanting to take pics of Bentley next to their dog. Go figure. |
While on vacation a couple of yrs. ago, we were walking along with two of our dogs when a woman pulled up next to us, got out of her car and took a picture of the dogs, than just got back in and pulled away without saying a word. We thought it was strange, but oh well, usually folks just want to talk yorkies with us when we are out with our dogs:D |

There are a lot of pics of my girls floating around out there. When I am in Philly I get a lot of people taking their pictures. No one asks, they just snap. It doesn't bother me too much - I'm kind of used to it. |
With cell phones having camera's now...it's quite common to get asked if they can take a photo of KiKi...I don't mind....I have never had anyone take a picture without asking...THAT would bother me...Yorkies are so cute....of course people want to take their pictures!! |
I Had some Japanese tourists come up and ask me if they could take a picture of Pixie once..we were on a day out in a very popular and pretty Cotswold town and that day it was crowded with tourists so Pixie did get quite alot of attention..I Didn't mind too much as they asked really nicely..but I do sometimes find the attention a bit embarrassing! |

When we went to Sturgis, I only had Suki. She rode on the harley with us, with her jacket, pink harley hat with her name embroidered on it and her goggles. I swear tourists, locals, bikers everyone took her picture. I joked that on that week she got her picture taken more than Mt Rushmore. |
I've never experienced this, but I don't think it would bother me... it would just be strange... I mean, yea my dogs mean the world to me, but why would anyone want a picture of some strange dog that means nothing to them? |
I get more nervous when people want to hold him. I mean I start sweating and everything. It's like their taking my newborn out of my arms..lol..and I know what that feels like because I have a human son too. |
I just got back from 3rd Monday Trades Day where we got stopped 6 times just for picture time. He was wearing his camo halter vest, matching hat and glasses. He was sitting in his stroller just watching everyone go by. We got stopped numerous times but just 6 to have the picture taken. It made me think of this thread. Most were taking a picture to show their wife bc she wouldnt believe it or show their granny bc she loves dogs or show Mark bc this is what she wants for Christmas. One person commented... There is another lady with a dog in the stroller and she is not as nice as you. She will not let you look at her dog, at least you are polite enough to stop and chit chat. Soooo even in this day and time where you have to be suspicious, it pays to be polite. |
No one has ever asked to take a picture of mine. I wouldnt mind if they did |
