Does your baby sleep in your bed? My Winston is 15 months old and has slept in the bed with me since he was a baby. We moved to a smaller apt. so now for the last 4 months he won't sleep with me. I put him on the bed and he will stay if I scratch him but once I am done he jumps off and sleeps under the couch or in one of his beds. Im not complaining but miss his lil presence in my bed I know its healthy just wondering if I did something wrong  |
No mine sleeps in her crate at night ..... ;) |
Chester sleeps with me but sometimes he will be in his bed or under the bed, so maybe he is just afarid or going through an independent stage. I too just recently moved and it does upset them, just give it some time, I miss chester as well when he is not there. Has anything else changed other than moving. |
Humphrey sleeps in his crate facing me. I always remove one of my socks and put it in his bed and he'll snuggle up to it and sleep quietly through the night. He has never even been on my bed. |
No, the little two sleep in crates facing the bed and Crosley has a whole chaise lounge in the bedroom that is her bed! |
No, Gizmo and Bubba allow me to sleep in their king size bed :p. |
Max and Ivy sleep in 1 crate in my bedroom. Do others have them together?? |
Trixie and Lexi sleep at the foot of the bed, Chipsie usually sleeps on the pillows beside the bed. And I frequently find myself having to shoo Lexi out of my daughters room after she goes to bed. I frequently find that she has sneaked off in there and climbed up beside her to share her pillow.:p |
My two sleep with me. One at one side, one the other. They make great bed warmers. lol. The the only dogs I've had that have ever done this though. All my others slept downstairs. Hugs Shirl x x |
Lucky sleeps with me. Hubby works evening shift so everynight at 2 in the morning Lucky climbs over my face to greet daddy and play with him then when hubby goes to shower its back in the bed with mommy. He is such a snuggle bug. :) |
Hot Rod has slept in our bed on the boat his very first night since it was all new and he was a wee bit scared. Other than that he sleeps in his crate in his expen. |
Sadie sleeps in bed with us...snuggles right up beside me or curls up under my armpit! Lillie sleeps in her crate. We will let he get in bed with us in the morning but, she likes to sleep between us and I'm afraid she will get rolled on. |
Tatum has always slept with us. She starts off at the end of the bed - for some reason she doesn't like to snuggle right away - but during the night she ends up curled tight to me. Don't know why your's has had a change of heart. Maybe it will just take some getting used to the new environment. |
I used to have the three of them sleeping in my bed til the little boy got territorial, also they are not good about nightime holding their pee and would sneak in my bathroom and pee on the rug at night. The three of them sleep in the kitchen at the moment. I used to love to have them with me. |
No My dogs got there own bedroom. |
Elvis sleeps with us. I'm wondering if your baby is just fearful of the new apartment and/or noises...maybe in time he'll adjust. |
Onni and Mikey sleep with us, Bonnie sleeps with my daughter and the rest of the dogs sleep with my son. If they had there way they would ALL sleep with us; but our bed is only so big ... LOL |
Thanks Thanks to all your replies ! ! I love to hear about all your lil babies ! Winston actually slept with me last night I took him to bed in the middle of the night and he stayed :):) |
deec19, Mocha has the independent strait and it's hard to even get a minute's cuddle with her :D She sleeps in my room with my shihtzu, although she's still crated(fenced?penned?) at night because she still has pee accidents about once a day. If I have a bigger bed or a lower one, I would love for her to sleep with me, but the shihtzu sheds and as much as I love them I do have a little nose problem, and I wouldn't like the shihtzu to be jealous, so both of them will stay on the floor with their nice, nice bed :D |
Mojo is still a puppy and sleeps in his crate. I don't think I will ever let him sleep with me. I'm too afraid he'd get rolled over on. I'm a heavy sleeper and afraid I might mash him. :D Plus DH gets up earlier than I do to get ready for work, and I don't want Mojo prowling around the house unsupervised. Crating works best for him and he loves to sleep in his crate. |
Sam sleeps with us every night. Wouldn't have it any other way..:) |
Lilly sleeps with me. Sometimes though, she jumps down and gets under the bed or wanders into the living room (which kind of aggravates me since I can't watch her). She usually just sleeps right next to me or down in between my legs at my feet but always under the covers. |
Harley sleeps most of the night in his crate. Once Daddy leaves for work, he gets in bed with me for the hour until I have to get up. On the weekend he will stay in his crate until about 5 (his normal first potty break) and then will sleep with both of us. Jeri and Harley |

Am I reading this right, you live on a boat? If so, very cool :D Abby and Daisy sleep with us everynight. Abby sleeps right between my husband and I at the head of the bed and Daisy either sleeps curled up against my back or at my feet. A few times Daisy would jump down and get under the bed and hubby couldn't stand it, so he would get up and pull her out and put her back in our bed. What a softie he is. I think he was afraid the dust bunnies would get her :p |
Mine sleep with us in bed. Jewels sleeps down by My leg or by my hip. Chachi sleeps inbetween his Daddys legs. We started lettiing them sleep with us when they were 4 mos old |
Jamie sleeps with me but I've noticed that throughout the summer he has slept on top of the cover on the other side of the bed instead of under the covers right next to me. I think its just because he's been getting hot. Maybe your baby is getting too hot in the bed or maybe you're sleeping restlessly and it is bugging him? ;) |
My boys still sleep with me in bed at night, usually in the summer one is above the covers but b/t my legs, the other is on my pillow with me. In winter they are both under the covers, one b/t my legs (or bfs legs) and the other curls up b/t us. I used to worry about smooshing them but it seems i know where they are even in sleep and have never hurt them at night. Its amazing how that works. However, my fletcher stopped cuddling in the evening with me. They used to both lay with me on the couch at night but the last 3 - 4 months my fletcher has taken to going to his bed in the kitchen in the evening. I miss him, but I won't force him to come cuddle. |
Yes absolutly. Depending on which view of life you take a wolf pack sleeps all curled up so why not me and my dogs... got to keep warm don't you know. Or if you look at it a differnt way it s pretty good reward for good work to snuggle with a loved one. JL :D;) |
Yep all 3 of mine sleep with me & hubby, but they don't get on the bed until after hubby is asleep. Odie and Little Man will start out at the foot of the bed. Then Tawny realizes she's by herself and will come to the bed and whine for me or hubby to pick her up and put her in the bed. She sleeps right between us under the covers. Her head has to be snuggled up to her daddy's neck. The boys will eventually move up towards the head of the bed during the night. Odie curls himself up against hubby's chest under the covers. Little Man, well I don't know how he does it but he will literally put his paws under my side (while I'm laying on my side facing hubby) and snuggles up close to my back and puts his head on my pillow. |
