| Just Spent Two Hours Phoning Round For A Groomer! Kayla has floppy ears and I noticed today that she has a lot of hairs in her ears that needs to plucked out. She could do with a hygiene cut round her bum and a bit of a tidy up anyway so I thought I'd look for a groomer to do. I can do Gypsy myself with her having a thin cottony coat but Kayla is too thick for me to want to tackle so I decided to look for a groomer. I had a groomer I used for Gypsy and was pleased with the results when she had a puppy cut when I was pregnant so make it easier to groom her, but I wanted to use a different one with Kayla. I don't even know why I want to use a different because my Mum has used this groomer for Ellie too and she looks great. The lady is really nice and works from home and even lets you stay with your dog. Anyway, I spent two hours phoning round before I found a really nice lady for breed Yorkies for 20 years. I explained what I wanted doing and she said she could do that and even said if she couldn't get them all out in one go then I could take her back the following week for free to get the rest. She asked me a ton of questions about her age, temperment, if she could have treats, anything she couldn't have, any allergies, etc, etc. After we'd finished "interviewing" each other she said she would be happy to have Kayla in if I was. She didn't seem like she was just trying to get my business, in fact when I called and explained what I needed doing she offered me advice on how to do it myself! lol. So on Thursday at 2pm Kayla is going in to have the full works, bath, groom, nails, booty trim, paws, teeth and ears... all for the grand old sum of £15, (that's about $30). I know I should be nervous and anxious about her going in case it goes wrong and I pick up a silly looking dog but I'm actually really excited and feel very positive about this. I can't wait!

| That is very good that you took the time to search for a groomer you feel confident about. Post pictures after she is done

| Finding a groomer you feel great about is well spent time looking for them. I drive mine 30 minutes away-- worth the drive, worth looking for something to do while they are getting beautiful! Congrats and hope all goes well.

| Pixie's going for her haircut on friday! I'm a bit nervous about it..I love her long hair but the wet weather is making it really hard to keep her tidy..she loves the garden and Just will not use a pad indoors..so I can't keep her shut in all the time..I will keep her hair long on her head and face so she can still have her topknot I would just like her body hair shorter and i'll regrow her hair in the spring. This groomer she's going to was highly recommended by a friend..she want's us to drop Pixie off in the morning and leave her there as she likes to get to know the dog first before grooming them..I do think that's a good idea but I have never left her with anyone before..i'll see what I think when I get there!... Goodluck! and post pics of Kayla when she's done!

| I hope Kaylas grooming goes without a hitch. It is hard to find a good groomer and it sounds like you have found 2 so thats great. I love my groomer but I wish I knew someone else who can do as equally a good job in case shes not available
