| Sedated pups? Does anybody know if vets sedate puppies when they give the vaccines or if the vaccines themselves calm a puppy down. I keep forgetting to ask the vet what he gives her when he does her shots, but the last two visits, Nala is completely out of it when I take her home from the vet. She is rather spunky and I'll just say it a crazy lil pup 14 1/2 weeks old, but I kind of enjoyed her being a lap dog for a little while. |

| they dont' sedate them. It's their body's reaction to the vaccines. Especially if they were given a combo vaccine (more than one at once. which is not recommended). Also i find the rabies vaccine always knocks Layla out. |

| Yea he did give her 2 vaccinations and we did the micro-chip as well this last time. So I guess it was just overload on her little body. |

| They give Gypsy a shot of benedryl (or equivalent) that makes her sleepy. So I am not sure if just the vaccines or both that makes her slightly sluggish.
