My daughter thinks I am nuts. lol I had a cook out yesterday and my daughter, which is 24 and her hubby came up. She walked by my car and saw that Lucky had a car seat. She could'nt believe it. She thinks that I have lost my mind. Let me tell ya that I take Lucky almost everywhere with me. He loves to go. When I am driving he wants to go back and forth so much I was afraid I was going to wreck. I got him a booster seat and he loves it. Well, then she came inside and saw all his toys and she could'nt believe it. I could'nt keep from laughing. I told her she better watch out. Its not to late to change the will........ Ya just gotta have a furbaby to understand. Am I right ??????:) :lol tears |
thats too funny |
Hahaha, people couldn't believe I have a carseat for Rocky and Bella too. They either think it's over the top, or just cute...but they are very practical and it's always better safe than sorry! |
Wait till I get the stroller.... I am glad she did'nt see all his clothes and ball cap. lol |
lol............that is too funny! Our grown children told me that the dog has more toys than they had as kids. I didn't know that you could get carseats for dogs! I am going to look them up... I too am scared I could get in an accident with her roaming around in the vehicle. We have a small SUV but coming from the back seat there is no real way to keep her there except in her carrier- which she isn't all that wowed with, as there is a divider between but she can go either under or over.. with the possibility of getting under my feet. Great idea! Cheryl & Mandy:aimeeyork |
That's so funny!!! Our kids seem to forget how we spoiled them!!! |
Yep, My best friend and my co workers all laughed at me when they saw Bobby's car seat. they just dont get it. He is safe thats all that matters! My friends kids thought it was cute though, they are 6 and 7. They love bobby. |
My daughter said that I have replaced her and her sister w/ Abby and Daisy, except they have it better than my girls did.haha I told her, I have more money and more time now, so yeah, they probably do ;) I love ALL my babies :D I think the carseats are a great idea! I don't have one for Abby and Daisy, but I should. It would be so much safer. |
I guess it's the same in most empty nester's household. My daughter's are no different. When they saw Buddy's bed with his own embroidered blankie they just looked at me with a stunned expression. Of course I told them I couldn't afford one for them when they were small.:sidesplt: I did get a grin from them. They know I spoil him so bad but I don't forget to spread it around. My grandchildren are just as spoiled. Thank heavens no one want's for anything. Your right, you have to be a momma to understand.;) |
haha that is hilarious! |
lol... I knew I would feel better after I posted this story. She kinda had me thinking maybe I was nuts but I knew better. I can't wait until I get some grandbabies. I will really spoil them. hehehe |

All our kids get just about anything they want and so do the grandbabies. I don't think my daughter is really jealous...she was just trying to give me a hard time, I have to give it right back :D I tell her too that Abby and Daisy are better behaved than she was ;) |
Just tell her I'm spending your inheritance on the dog............ LOL |

I need to get a car seat for my furbaby as well. So if your furbaby rides in front, I guess DH will have to ride in the backseat. :D |

I get "made fun of" all the time by family members. I'm working on making Lilly a carseat and my mom was making fun of me. Oh well. |
I know what you mean....my boys (21 and 24), say I treat my dogs better than I treat them....lol...my furbabies are always happy to see, listen to everything I say, never complain, and still want to snuggle. They also have their own room now....and a car seat. I'm in the process of getting another one, so all three can go on rides together. I think my family would disown me if I got a stroller....they think I'm crazy when I dress them up too....they are the girls I never had....even though two of them are males....but they don't know that, so a bow goes in their hair too....I love my furbabies....!!!!:) Beau:aimeeyork,Gus:aimeeyork,Zoey:aimeeyork |
lol-my kids are sure I have lost it!! They make fun of me constantly. Oh well-they are MY dogs-and what I want for them-they get :D :D :D!!! |
:grin2: That was funny. Of course, Lucky ( I love that name. ;) I have a Lucky also. ) needs a car seat. If he's going to go everywhere with you, he needs to be safe also. Good doggie mom that you are!!! |

I got one of those daughters too, hehe...i think she is just jealous :D |
My husband and I haven't been yorkie parents for very long.....but already when one of us refers to 'the girls' or asks 'how have the kids been?' we both know that it means Twinkle as well as our two skindaughters. Luckily we don't get laughed at because we're in good company: my mum refers to her dogs as 'the kids' and my MIL calls her shiht zu 'the baby':D Also one of my sister's 'girls' is a cat and my dad's 'son' is a beagle called Snoop! |
