Does your Yorkie smile? When we get home, our male, Tucker, always shows his teeth like he's smiling. He wiggles and wags and shows his teeth without opening his mouth. I'm not kidding. I was just wondering if this is common. :D |
Not sure if unusual but sound really cute! Try to get us a picture. :D |
I'll try to get a picture tomorrow when I come home for my lunch hour. I'll have to remember my camera because he only does it till you acknowledge him. It is awfully cute. |
Zowie smiles. It is really sweet, too. She also talks. Of my five she is the only one. She always has a big smile. The others only look like they are smiling if they are really tired and panting :D |
Sounds really cute. Would love to see a pic. I've gotten a couple of pics of Hot Rod where he looks like he is smirking. |
Smile .... =) 2 Attachment(s) Mine does not show her teeth to much .... but they sure can smile .... and it is so cute to see it .... ;) Here is mine ..... with and without teeth ..... :D Attachment 241462 Attachment 241463 You need to get a pic and Post it .... that would be too cute to see .... ;) |
Yup, I have three Biewers who smile all the time when they get excited to see us. Melts my heart and makes me laugh each and every single time! :D |
Mine does too!! Isn't it the funniest thing? Every morning when I wake up and look over at my boy, he gives me a BIG full tooth smile and comes over for our morning kisses. He does this when I come home or even if I walk into a room (he acts like we haven't seen each in ages) and gives such an cute smile. I love it so much and it will always make me chuckle and give him a big smile back! (and he gets a few kisses too!) |
i swear up and down that my Humphrey smiles. When he really wants attention, he lies on his back so that I can tickle his belly and he will smile (hubby says I am crazy) and cover his eyes with his front paws... he'll also do this to girls on the street while standing on two legs to get attention, he is such a little flirt. |
I had a mini pin that would smile when I came home. She would also cry when I left. |

I noticed her doing it when she was about 2 and my husband was in the hospital - while I went back and forth visiting him - we worked on the 'Smile command' to surprise him when he got out and now she does it ALL the time - He didn't believe me till he saw it for himself lol it never fails to make ME smile and they really know they're doing it. ...that's so cute Tucker does this too. I love that a dog can actually show the same emotion as us humans do when we're happy |
2 Attachment(s) OOPS - forgot the pics - this is back when she first learned (1st pic) - it doesn't do the smile justice...my husband took the picture cause he couldn't believe she could do this on command then I posted a pic of her REALLY HAPPY Face so you can see she doesn't chew up sticks and swim in the river (since she looks like a little beaver smiling in the 1st pic LOL) |
My Baxter smiles all the time. Expecially if he thinks he is getting something. I took a picture and it is in my pictures. I was going to put it as a avitar but I'm not sure how to do it. He looks like he has to many teeth for his little mouth lol |
They sure do!! Here's a thread that I posted awhile back showing off my smiling boys! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...can-smile.html |
Humphrey Smiles! These are some smiles I got from my baby today. I've got a bunch of pics of him smiling, but these are by far the best and most recent ones. http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/280/p1020768gg4.th.jpg http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/622...0766xw1.th.jpg |

1 Attachment(s) You tell me...:D |
1 Attachment(s) Smokey smiles all the time! |
My Tinkerbell smiles when she sees us. I love it she looks to cute!!! She makes my day, even if I had a bad day she makes me smile everyday. Love her to death out of my 4 for now she is the only one that does it!!! |
My sister had an Irish setter that did that. At first, she thought he was baring his teeth at her, but then the breeder called and said, "I forgot to tell you - that dog smiles!" Also, my neighbor had a Doberman that smiled on command, which was really hysterically funny. |
Oh Cooper smiles when we come home too. It is the cutest thing ever. I am going to try to get a picture of it tomorrow. He shows us a huge smile full of white teeth. |
None of my 5 that I have now smile, but my first little girl, Tashee was always smiling. :) everyone would comment on her smile, cause you could tell that is what she was doing. Enjoy your little smiling faces, as we sure miss ours. |
2 Attachment(s) I got my first smile this morning from Remy---- it took two weeks and three days -- but he's a smiler too.:animal-pa Milo was smiling at me at the same time-- I think they're so happy to have each other. |
shylah smiles when she first sees me in the morning or when I get home from work. It is so quick it is hard to get a picture of it. She just lifts that upper lip so quick. |

haha no princess doesnt show her teeth when she smiles.. she just smiles.. i wish she would show her teeth, that sounds sooooo adorable and i loved looking at everyone's pic!!! im jealousss... oh well i'll be waiting for the day when princess finally does it :D |
I know exactly what you're talking about, it's like they raise their upper lip and show you their teeth. My Prissie does it every now and then when she's excited. But one of her pups from her first litter, Sebastian, does it all the time. If you call his name, he will turn around and show you his teeth, it's hillarious. I'm not sure if I have a pic of it or not, he comes to visit quit often, I'll have to dig around. All the other "smiling" pics posted are too cute! |
2 Attachment(s) Our two fur babies smile too! 1. Bonnie 2. Onni |
