What is the Best Shampoo? I have a 4 month old & take her to PetSmart for the Puppy Special (bath, ears, nails, foot pads). If you get the Top Dog Special they use a better shampoo which I like but they do not sell it in the store. I am using from the Petsmart store "Bio-Groom Fluffly Puppy Conditioning Shampoo Tearless" & I do not like it. MacKensie is very thin & silky. What can I use to thicken her hair up so it's not so thin. I brush her 2 times a day to get her use to grooming & 5 minutes after I brush her you can't tell it. |
Hi!!! I LOVE and sell A product from HealthyPetNet called Spa Scents Revitalizing Shampoo. I LOVE it!!! I do NOT need to use a seperate conditioner...it smells GREAT, and it leaves my babies hair and skin silky soft! They stay cleaner and softer longer too. I really like it alot. Here is the info on it from my website Spa Scents Revitalizing Shampoo I wash all my babies with this shampoo and I have a variety of coats and its makes them all amazing :) |
Joey had very oily has a puppy, it didn't seem to make much difference which shampoo, I used a couple of days latter, he looked like he needed a bath. He outgrew this and now he can easily go a week. It's important to rinse really well, any shampoo or conditioner left in the coat will attract dirt and oil. After I'm through rinsing, I heat up the towel in to microwave for 1 minute, and during this time I rinse again, just to make sure I've rinsed enough, then I wrap him in his warm towel. I've read that the puppies with an oily coat usually grow up to have beautiful silky coats, and this was true of Joey. You might want to check out the grooming forum. I just got Chewie groomed at Petsmart the other day and loved how his coat came out. I haven't had a chance to call and ask what they used. I figured they wouldn't tell me anyway because that would take a customer away from them (even though I wouldn't go back anyway because of they way they handled Chewie and a few other dogs). If anyone finds out I'd love to know. I figured they used a finishing spray of some sort that made his coat super shiny and silky...not sure. |
I have a malt and a Yorkie. I really love "Coat Handler" for KrissieBella. It sort of causes Ollie's (my Maltese) coat to tangle. But it makes Krissie just as soft as winter snow!! Good luck in your search, |
Ditto that!!!!!!!!! I think that Coat Handler products are one of the best!! I buy mine from Ryans Pet Supply. They have a wonderful catalog just full of doggy stuff!! |
