| ![]() I am in need of some help here.... My boy, Kimchee whines whenever I am preparing his dinner. I tried saying stop many times and asked him to sit, he would sit and whine. His little sister, Mochi is trying to imitate him when waiting for her food. Any suggestion to tell Kimchee not to whine while I am preparing his meals?

| ![]() Can you crate him or put him in another room while you prepare the food? Also he needs to learn he will NOT get the food until he is calm.... that can take 5 min or an hour.. but he has to be calm before you feed him. Have him sit and look at you and then he can have his food. |

| ![]() Our situation amazes me ! When we are in the kitchen preparing their food they know it. Its like we can quietly opn the cabinet and they are on to what we are doing WHINING!.. When they hear the fork or spoon stirring they are really in tuned to things.. This is what I do not get... We can do the same procedure to eat a meal ourselves as a family without the babies and they do NOT whine... HOW DO THEY KNOW THE DIFFERENCE? Your yorkie is smart and I advise you to basically tune him or her out untill they are calm and reinforce the calm behaviour. GOOD LUCK!

| ![]() I would suggest crating, although My Little Lilli does the SAME thing. She sits quietly, then just screeches out of the middle of nowhere because she has 5 brothers and sister and well...I guess mommy just doesn't move fast enough to her liking! lol I just stomp my foot and look her straight in the eye and give her a very firm, low-tone, "NO!" she stops.....until she does it again 5 minutes later haha
