Rabies Vaccine Many years ago I had a Bichon and I took it to the vet to get a rabies shot. Well the next morning she was walking against the wall like she had been drinking a whole bunch of liquor. I called the vet and took my dog straight in. He told me that a white dog sometimes will have this reaction. I looked at him and said what I have never heard of this.My dog did survive however I have never taken my dog to a vet again for rabies I go to the SPCA Clinics and give my donation and have never had a problem. The money 10 dollars for as many dogs as you have goes to a good cause. I am sorry this happened it must have been terrible. |

I know Melinda said she was wanting to keep the little male Jordy boy herself. and I know him and another female are very small 3 lbs I think. I have meet a few of them and have pictures posted of two of them Rosie and her daughter Annie on another thread. they are all so cute and are all related. I would love to follow up on them all and their new homes. |
It's only normal to distrust nowadays. I am glad things got cleared up. |

I know I keep posting and posting But I wanted to come back to this thread now that im feeling better and I wanted to Thank each and everyone of you who posted, Thank you for helping me try to clear this all up, theres so many good people here and this thread shows how everyone sticks together in the welfare of any Yorkie or dog for that matter. and Im so Happy that its all cleared up now and that the rescue was legit. This day has just drained me, and Ive done nothing ( no house cleaning nothing) but yet the worry and stress had got me down. Thanks again everyone. |
I know I'm feeling alot better! I think we were all very nervous and started to panic! It's easy to see how we got nervous right off the bat when a rescue that Yorkieshadow didn't recognize told the breeder she got info from her. I know I had passed along info to another YT member involved in rescue and I found out it wasn't her either. So it snowballed from there! The confusion over Rustysmom name escalated the whole thing! :confuse2: Whew what a mess! Two of the dogs being taken to NC are related to my dog Camden! Rosie is her Mom and Annie is her 1/2 sister and I had been trying to help find homes for them here. Telling everyone I could and a couple of times we thought homes were going to work out and didn't. So this has been bothering me for weeks and weeks now. Our Camden was in pitiful shape when we adopted her in April and I have just wanted all these babies to have a loving home like they all deserve! Rustysmom, I hope your baby who had surgery is doing good and thank you so much for clearing this up! I commend everyone who is involved in rescue. I know it has to be rewarding and heartbreaking at times! |
I am so glad that things got cleared up, it was really scarey there for a moment and time was running out quickly. I want to apologize if I said anything that many have hurt someone's feelings. My first concern was these babies, and I tried to find out all that I could via searching on google and here, and to be honest, I wasn't finding anything that was 'clear' it was alot of dead ends or half way points, and with all this crazy stuff that happens in the world today....well....I was scared this may be one of them. But I have to say, I am thrilled to have been proven wrong! This is awesome that M.H. and the NC Rescue are going to all this trouble to save these precious babies in OH. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Again I am sorry if I said something hurtful, please know that I would never do that purposely, I was just trying to help the others get to the bottom of things, it was a very critical time :( |
I have been reading all of this and so glad it's all cleared up. Only one problem though....Roxie is due for her Rabies shot and now I'm terrifed ! But I do know that my vet won't give more then one vaccine at a time. She's due for another distemper in Sept. and they won't give the shots together or is she's not feeling well. I guess those are safe signs from the vet. Plus we have been going to this vet with all of our other pets for years. The difference is Roxie is my first toy dog all the rest have been big dogs or cats. The vet has taken good care of her so far...spay her with no problems and nursed her back to health when we first got her. So maybe I shouldn't worry (easier said then done)! |
Update I just talked to the breeder, The Lab rescue never picked up these Yorkies today. MH from the rescue called the breeder an dtold her she didnt know what was going on , shes been emailing them and noones gotton back with her. So If they dont come soon The breeder will have to rehome them else where. so If any one would be interested in one of these Yorkies Please pm me. Their ages range from 2-6 and weight is 3lbs-6 lbs.......there are 4 females one male. These Yorkies are free but you will not get their papers, they are all AKC. they will go to Pet homes only and the breeder will have them nutured/spayed before you get them. and that spay/ nuter cost will be around $100, so thats what you will have to pay. |
Oh, this is not what I wanted to hear! So MH hasn't heard from the person who is supposed to get them at all? What time were they supposed to be there? |
AWOL transport lady in OH Crapola! Apparently the lab transport lady has been AWOL........so many transporters end up AWOL....If I have a commitment I find someone to honor that commitment in my place if I could not honor it! I wish everyone felt that way!!!! |
