IL Puppy mill dogs on the road to recovery They survived their first weekend free from what Macon County Animal Control called 'pitiful' living conditions, now 55 dogs are on the road to recovery. | I believe they said they weren't taking calls or applications for the puppies just yet. They want to get their health care done first. Now that we're done working on the house I might go over there and see if I can volunteer some time with them or something...it's only a few blocks from me. |

| I really don't understand how people can let the living conditions get so bad! I hate puppy mills, but do they have to let it get to such bad , unhealthy conditions....Don't they want healthy dogs breeding ? Are they that cruel and stupid ? I guess so !!!! I hope they get jail time !

| I volunteer at my local pound, and it makes me feel great to be able to help animals that need the love, and help place them in great homes.. it gets frustrating sometimes though... like right now we seem to always have a pit or boxer or a mix of one of them... they are so sweet, but they have such a bad rap i hate that sometimes they are put down... i dont know what to do for them other than try to find them homes |
