| Pet insurance Hi ! I am new here at yorkietalk and decided to write my first post full of questions. I have a question about pet insurance. Do you guys advice that I got an insurance for my 3 month old yorkie? And if so, do you know which insurance is the best one? I've looked into VPI Pet insurance but i wanted to look at other ones to compare. Thank you in advance for your answers. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I looked into it quite a bit. PetPlan is the only one I know of that will cover congenital problems as long as they haven't YET been diagnosed on the medical records (so, buy insurance young). Also, Dateline did a segment on insurance and whether it was worth it - the bottom line was: IF your family can afford a 5k worse case scenario and be okay - then don't get it. IF a 5k surgery would be IMPOSSIBLE for your family to afford - then get it, bc that could mean the difference btwn life and death for your dog. AND, WELCOME TO YT!!!

| I have thought about this. Now that I am adding another puppy to our family I am considering this. Vet bills add up quick...

| This may help. Someone posted it a couple weeks ago and I saved it. I have VPI and have not use it. So far so good. The link is not working. Let me try something else. Try this: Pet Insurance Review Last edited by ARCHIE; 08-20-2008 at 11:18 AM. |
