My Tobi is Missing/Stolen....Please pray for his return!
 

My heart is sick writing this and please asking all of you who read this to help if you can. Someone stole my boy Tobi from my daughters back yard last night about 11pm. I just let her take him to go live with her and her boyfriend in their new house with a boy I co own with her and her Shih Tzu. I just had him neutered last weekend as I had decided I would never use him in my breeding program. But I did not have the heart to rehome him as we loved him so very much so my daughter said he could come live with her. They are fixing up the house they just moved into so they put the dogs outside as they were refinishing floors, painting, etc. Her boyfriend had just been out with them laying in the grass and had gone back in the house. About 10 minutes later they heard the dogs barking and it went on for a few minutes which is unusual as they are not barkers. My daughters boyfriend went outside to see and came running back in to tell her that my Tobi was gone. They searched the neighborhood until 3 am walking the streets and calling for him. We called the police, checked local shelters, vets offices, etc. I just got home from putting up flyers in the neighborhood, and local stores. I checked the backyard and there is no way he got out. he was not the type anyway. He would have never left the others anyway. He just loved people and would come to anyone. The others were more leary of people. He would stand on his back legs and really smile at people so they could pick him up. My heart is aching so......I am asking that those of you who frequent puppy buying sights, etc. would please watch for someone who may try to sell him online. We are in Michigan so he would be listed under Michigan. This is a recent picture of him. He looks very small but weighs about 4.5-5#, I cut his coat back in a puppy cut but the hair on his back was growing in and was slightly wavy but is not in this picture. His hair on his head is dark gold and he still has a top knot in. He was just neutered this past week and is 2.5 years old. Please help find my boy...............

Post ads on Craigs List in your area, and search Craigs List ALL the time for people selling Yorkies, as he might wind up there :mad:

Everyone in Michigan keep your eyes and ears open! This guy needs to get back to his family that loves him so much! I just feel terrible Shari...we are praying and are going to be watching the internet like crazy for that darling little guy!

I can't believe this!! I hope you find him soon!! I've always wondered with all the technology we have, why can't we come up with a little tracking device that we can insert in them or even put it on their collar! This is horrible!! I can't imagine what you're going through! People can be so selfish!! Just to make a wuick buck!!

There is such a thing..... they sell them at Petsmart..... you can track the dogs collar via the web.

Omg Shari, that is just horrible :( I know how much you love that boy! Was there any neighbors or anybody around that may have seen something? I hope you get him back safely.

I agree with this. Post want ads that will apply to your Tobi, but don't make it obvious. Maybe say you're looking for an older Yorkie rather than a little puppy (1-3 years) and one that's fairly small.

I can't believe people would steal someone's pet for pete sake.



I lost a little dog I was taking care of last year, put up flyers in the area, and some honest people brought him back.. though they were ready for their reward.


I expect the flyers would get the job stolen if he's actually lost, but someone that's going to steal a dog isn't going to care about giving him back, so tell people you know to keep an eye out.


I hope he comes back safe! I know this must be horrible for you, I remember how bad I felt when it happened to me, and I know nobody should have to deal iwth losing a baby like that.

Oh, I'm just heartbroken to read this. How horrible!!! This is one of my biggest fears.

I wonder if it was someone in the neighborhood. How would anyone know he was there? Can you see through the fence? I think I would turn into the neighborhood detective and stroll around listening for his bark or to see if you see him in someone else's yard or being walked. Even if he was in a house he would probably know you're there. My dogs can smell other animals and people from intside our house.

I am so sorry to hear this, and we will be praying for his return.
