Weird Question...maybe TMI
 
OK, before I ask, if you are easily offended, this is not for you.

Tucker is neutered and typically only humps other dogs in a show of dominance when we go to the dog park. However, a few days before my cycle begins (sorry, that's the TMI), he gets super agitated and digs at my pants, tries to hump my leg and inevitably turns to his pillow which he doesn't even hump, he just "gets it into position" (if that makes any sense). He's not like this any other time and does not have "dates" with his pillow otherwise.

Does anyone else experience this weirdness?

Bruno acts kinda weird around that time too. He will dig at my jeans and stuff. The pillow thing he doesn't do. Or that I have seen anyway. He just trys to stay alot closer to me.

i have to be pack leader to control the dominating..

Phew! Thank you for your reply. I'm glad Tucker is not a freak! :) He only does the pillow thing when I deny him trying to hump me...it's definitely strange.

I grew up with horses, and my gelding would sense when I had my period. :eek:

My little Oscar isn't in tune to those things ... yet ...

I definitely do not allow him to hump me. I am the pack leader at all other times...he only tries this behavior just before my cycle.

And I love my boy with my whole being...while I'm sure girls are lovely, too, I think they both have pros and cons. Boys are awesome, too!

LOL!! i was just talking to my hubby the other day about getting Bruno fixed!! He clings to me all the time but that time of the month can get pretty bad. he follows me EVERYWHERE.

So, suddenly - we'll see Marcel or Wylie flying out of our closet with a thong in their mouth - running full boar for the bedroom door like they've made the kill of their lives - and also bc they know we're going to come after them to retrieve it. LOL, i'm not the only one then!! Been there, done that!! LOL. I have had to do the same thing with Bruno.

I hear ya! Although with Tucker it's at ALL times! He gets all excited when I change because he thinks he might get a shot at my underwear. We have come home to find him triumphant with a pair in his mouth and we've even found him sleeping in our hamper although he hasn't done this too much lately. They're funny little guys!

Reggie has no preference on ....times....any time is a good time to steal panties. Leaving them in my living is CLASSY.

I'm SO glad I'm not alone. The guys have "donut beds" and sometimes I'll find a thong tucked deep INSIDE the donut - like they keep a STASH in the crease for slow times!

haha Duke does that too. He swipes a pair then takes it to some other location in the house.

He doesn't act any different towards me though around *that time*

I just wanted to commend you for having the nads to bring this to light - if I had a boy - I would have by now too.

I had this with the last rescue I had - He was a 6 month old mix but so smart and just a wonderful dog. Hes now homed - amen! But back to this...

He ALWAYS knew. And I know I dont have an odor there but he knew and would shove his snot in places it shouldnt go. This was actually the FIRST thing I talked about when trying to place him. As he did it so rough.

But he ended up going to a boater here thats a single man - boats for a living and a PERFECT match for Ol' Bo. Does he still do this?

Yes - and is close to a yr now in age. Naughty by Nature! :animal-pa

Great post! Sure many wanted to asked but just couldnt. I even put some of my tampons in 'hiding places' to see if thats what he was picking up on... he'd pass them and never even stop to check the air!
