McKenzie fell down a whole flight of tiled stairs
 

OMG I can't believe this happened :(


I got up this morning and let my babies gp outside a to potty, but it was cool here (55) so I let them right in and as I was getting everyone in order(they were all excited running and jumping) I went to pick up McKenzie and she thought I was going to take her to her room so she went to move from me and wasn't looking and slipped and fell down the whole flight of stairs!!!

OMG it was too quick for me to do ANYTHING! I literally screamed out loud "OH MY GOD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" I shaking so bad I couldn't stop.

I watched her poor body bounce all the way down.

God must have been watching out for her because she got to the bottom, (I RAN down them and made it at the same time) I went to pick her up and she jumped up......ran into the family room and tore all over the area rug PLAYING!!!! She ran from me like it was a game still.

Well I caught her, held, her TIGHT :rolleyes:....I felt every part of her body and she was fine!!!

I made sure she ate and right now she's is chewing a chewy!

I thank god she is ok! How so so scary it was. My goal is to get our stairs carpeted. Even though I hate carpet..... I want my babies to be safe and also we ourselfs could slip.

I bet my baby is sore though :( Its times like these I wish they could tell me!!!!

Wow Breny what a scare!:eek: I'm glad shes okay, but I'd keep a close eye on her for abit. Internal injuries can turn up later, I pray she is going to be just fine although I'm sure she may be abit sore.

OMG, Breny!!! I am so glad everything is okay! Thank god their little bodies are so close to the ground, bc maybe in this case, it was her saving grace. HOW SCARY!

Brutal...I know exactly how you felt. I watched my daughter fall down the stairs when she was three, broke my heart. Thank God your baby was okay. My daughter was okay too. Angels looking over them.

Thanks Deb...I'll keep an eye on her. Scared the living CRAP out of me. She is so un graceful as it is...always tripping, falling...so I've never let her by the stairs...but today...stupid me..... :(

It must of really scared you. Things can happen so quickly.

:eek: How scary that must have been!!! I would have been shaking just like you were. How amazing that she did not injure herself!? It's incredible. She must have her own guardian angel. I am so thrilled for you, that all is well. As you say, she must have some very sore bruises, poor little girl. Give her a kiss and cuddle from me ...and from Toots.

Me too and thank god she isn't a tiny one...she is built solid and have extra meat on her bones. Very scary.

But right now she is up to her old tricks and is chewy my wall !!!! :eek:

I guess Chewing walls in her genes..her sister did that as well :rolleyes:

Yeah accidents do happen and I know you always watch them carefully. Your not stupid at all these things can happen in a split second. I'm glad shes fine and will pray she doesn't have any thing internal show up later.

Don't worry...Mckenzie's days of coming anywhere NEAR the stairs are over! She seems fine, although I know she will be sore! It was so so scary and happened so QUICK! She acted un phased!

I'm going to look into even a runner.

If anyone has any ideas on where I could get stair runners...I'd appreciate it!!!!!

Oh that poor baby girl. I'm glad she's okay Brenda. Give her some hugs and kisses from all of us. ;)

Aww Breny.. I think I went thru the same emotions you did by reading the post. I am glad she is back to herself. She has the best Momma to make sure she is ok. Sending hugs to you and her.

I think she looks ok. She is acting fine...walking fine...showing no symtoms at all!!! I just ran and gave her another hug and took pictures , which I'll start a new thread.
