OMG! Breny!! I am so glad to hear that McKenzie is ok!! It took Meiah forever to go up and down our stairs. I thought about taking off the carpet but not now!! I'll just replace it when i need to. All my girls run up and down the stairs super fast...even Meaih now! :D The carpet gives them good traction. TG McKenzie is ok!! Poor baby!!! Give her some tender hugs and kisses from me and the girls!! :hug:

I'm so glad McKenzie is ok. It seems like slow motion when something like this happens; you could almost hear your heart pounding. This happened to Phoebe recently, but she only feel down three stairs. She actually landed on her feet and started barking as if someone pushed her down.

Omg! I am so glad that she is okay! It is instances like that, that make you realized all it takes is 1 second and you could lose your baby or they could be seriously hurt, that's how I felt after Keelyn's accident, except I wasn't so lucky. I am glad your baby is okay, I never want anyone to have to go through what I experienced.

I got up this morning and let my babies gp outside a to potty, but it was cool here (55) so I let them right in and as I was getting everyone in order(they were all excited running and jumping) I went to pick up McKenzie and she thought I was going to take her to her room so she went to move from me and wasn't looking and slipped and fell down the whole flight of stairs!!!

God must have been watching out for her because she got to the bottom, (I RAN down them and made it at the same time) I went to pick her up and she jumped up......ran into the family room and tore all over the area rug PLAYING!!!! She ran from me like it was a game still.

Well I caught her, held, her TIGHT :rolleyes:....I felt every part of her body and she was fine!!!

I made sure she ate and right now she's is chewing a chewy!

I thank god she is ok! How so so scary it was. My goal is to get our stairs carpeted. Even though I hate carpet..... I want my babies to be safe and also we ourselfs could slip.

I am glad your little one is just fine. a big ( Hug) for you! I know how scary that is. My Gracie fell down our stairs. They are hard wood and can be slick. She just got to excited and rolled down. She was also pregnant. I was terrified. She and the baby were just fine. :)

I'm looking at links right now for carpet. When Brooklyn was a puppy he had a tumble on them too. We HAVE to fix this. He only did a few stairs though, but still........I have them gated off now and hubby will just have to complain . :rolleyes:

Thank goodness she's alright...it was an accident and unfortunately accidents do happen.

That is definitely scarey!!!!! We only have 6 stairs since our house is a tri-level, but our are solid oka. Both my babies have taken tumbles - Sissy when she was 15 weeks old and Angel twice - one at about 16 weeks, the second a few weeks later. The girls were fine after each tumble, but it obviously scared the beejesus out of them as neither one of them will even try to go downstairs :eek:!!!!
