Oh this is so sad! :( Those kind of people should not have animals! Poor dog! :( You know it should be some sort of a test before you can get a pet, so those poor animals wont go to abusive homes. |

That's not a bad idea, you need a to take a test before you get a license to drive a car, maybe they should give a test before you can license a dog. Maybe it would rule out the truly clueless. |

:( if you go to animal welfare and you make barely nay money they will help fpr pet for nearly free. this guy has no excuse to not being taking care of his dog. what a jerk. i ran out of my house in a sports bra and sweat pants in a strom " i drive a sports car" the first night my baby had a seizure and drove an hour to the nearest animal hospital and i cried the whole way. i cant understand how people can feel nothing for their pets who love them dearly no matter what:mad: |
I didn't get the impression the guy couldn't afford to take care of this dog...rather he chose not to. We have a pet supply place here...that offers a wellness clinic, once a month. They give free vaccinations, free heartworm checks, flea preventative and heartworm preventative. Or if your animal is ill...they will exam them. I've seen plenty of people there...who may not be able to afford treatment for their animals...but chose this option. |
How sad and frustrating. My dogs are my babies. That poor baby. I hope they get to be in her shoes in their next life!! :( |
I totally agree with you.... thats just horrible and it must have been infuriating for you to have to sit there and hear this guy talking out of his "butt".... |
It is so sad when something like this happens. The poor dog I hope it ends up OK. |

Vets in my area don't even like to say an owner is neglectful. We adopted a munchin cat at my shelter. The adopter brought it back abut 8 months later skinny, and couldn't walk. She had taken it to the vet (after she called and I told her she had to or bring it back) and it was constipated and hadn't gone in days and by the time she took the cat to the vet it was too late the vet said to put him down. So instead of paying the vet to do it she brought it back to the shelter for us to do it. I called the vet and asked if she would go to court and say it was neglect that resulted in the cat having to be euthanized, she said no. She didn't think it was neglect. If you don't have a vet to back you up in a case like that, you don't have a case. I was pissed! I really like that cat and I didn't want her to adopt it anyway. We are very picky now! I see a lot of neglect cases and it makes me not like people very much! Usually if you threaten to take people to court, they turn over the animal. They don't want it anyway! |
That is so sad. Such a shame. I am the first one to admit that I spoil the hell out of my dog so when I hear stories about mistreatment, it drives me crazy. Dogs aim to please. If you feed them, they love you; if you go exercise with them, they love you; if you train them, they love you; if you get angry with them, they feel bad but they still love you. People who do not have the time or are willing to love such a special creature should not be allowed to have pets. Poor dog! |
