I have a question .. I just checked out the ad for Yorkiepoo puppies at Laughlinkennels.com . I was shocked to see how many different breeds are being sold at this kennel.After reading so many threads about puppy mills and not buying at them I am wondering why this place is advertising on this website?Wouldnt this be classified as a puppy mill.. They have well over 50 ( I didnt count them )different breeds..

Laughlinkennels.com say they breed and they are brokers. A broker is someone who arranges to sell the dog between two parties. Without brokers, it would be very hard for puppy mills to exist. While I truly hate the puppy miller, at least some are doing it because they know no better, they are farmers, and see nothing wrong with raising dogs like livestock. However brokers should know better, they know people would be extremely upset if they knew about the conditions in which the puppies were raised, so they often lie and tell people that they get their dogs from small breeders. A good breeder would never sell a dog to just anyone, a broker would. Never buy a dog from a Website, it's the same or worse than buying it from a pet store.

I would not buy from a website, I thought I was just going to see a few cute puppies. I was shocked to see so many. IM just surprised that they are allowed to advertise on Yorkie talk

I think Yorkietalk doesn't probably have that much control who advertises on the pages you see. We as members can help inform others that this is not the sort of place you want to buy a dog from.

are you sure , they have made it clear that these are reputable breeders that have had good experiences on here. maybe they also pay a fee , whoo knows.

I think the OP is referring to those little ads you see at the top and bottom of the Yorkietalk pages. I think you are referring to the classified ads that Yorkietalk has, and I was not aware that YT has made any reference to the breeders being reputable, and as long a someone follows posting rules they can offer a dog for sale. Where did you get the idea that YorkieTalk somehow endorses these breeders?

YT has no control of the ads found at the top of the page....those ads are placed by Google.

I don't think this means that YorkieTalk endorses them, but that they have paid their dues, and have followed the posting rules. People should check out their breeders carefully.

it does say featured, to me that is endorsing but i am a just saying. not to argue, ok i like to argue haha. i think these people have good puppies and yes please do investigate everyone.
