Delilah was 9 weeks and 2.4 pounds. She did and has done just fine!! |
i got riley @ 8 weeks and he weighed 1.4 pounds the vet said he was really healthy for his age/size! which surprised me. he'll be 13 weeks on thursday and he's probably 1.8 pounds or so now. he's my tiny baby<3 |
wow you gals/guys are great thanks for sharing. |
I got Katy Lou at 10 weeks and she weighed 2 lb. 8 oz. She was already 99% wee wee pad trained thanks to her great breeder. She is 15 weeks old now and no problems. |
Bailey was 8wks. |
I got Buddy at 14 1/2 wks, however, he had to be taken away from his mother around 8wks because he came from Hungary. Thank heavens he was a big boy to survive the trip at that age. I often wondered how many little ones don't make it! I got him from a pet store and he arrived there in April and I bought him in May. Very sad don't you think? |
My boys were 2lbs at 9 weeks. I got them at 9 weeks. They were just fine. They slept a lot for the first 3 months I had them but they got more energy after that. |
Maggy May was only 6 weeks old when she came to us, but that wasn't by choice, the lady who had the litter was going to put the whole litter down that week if she didn't find homes for all of them, so, that's how we ended up with Maggy May. She had a real hard time and a A LOT of health issues, but we're talking back yard breeder here (the lady she came from.) We've spend more money on Maggy May to get her healthy than we have on all of our other three furbabies put together in the whole time we've had them. From past experience, the best age to get a pup is definately around 12 weeks of age, but considering that if we didn't take Maggy May and Gibbs, they were going to be put to death, we took them and did the best we could for them. Unfortunately, Gibbs was so sick and worm ridden he didn't make it even after spending the night with him in the ER hospital. |
I got Pepper when he was 11 weeks old. ;) |
Jeter was 9 weeks and has done great. He was seen by my vet per contract agreement within the first 3 day's of being home and despite his tiny size, the vet said he was 100% healthy. Axl came home to us at 8 weeks of age and he has been very healthy so far he saw his vet 24 hours after i brought him home, and he too was given a clean bill of health. Yumi Yasha came to us at 9 weeks of age and she was seen in less than 48 hours of bringing her home, she is great and has not had any health issues yet, I just had her and Axl in today for their shots and she has gained 1 ounce in 2 days since they seen her;) he checked both over and said they are healthy! |
When my Dad gave me Maggie Lou as a gift, he was told by the breeder that she was 50 days old... BUT she was not, because she didn't have ANY teeth... So I think that Maggie was 30-35 days old by the time I got her... Hannah was given to me as a gift too, and she was 3 months old... |
Onni was 8 weeks old. |
We got Gracie at 8 weeks. She weighed 2 1/2 lbs. Had her vet checkup within 48 hours and received a clean bill of health. She adjusted very quickly with no problems at all. Of course her adoptive furry mommy helped to take good care of her. |
We got Chip at 7.5 weeks old and he was very sick and we almost lost him. I also think he is EXTREMELY attached and dependent on my husband and I because I don't think he was given enough time to be properly weaned from his mother. I am certain he came from a puppy mill. We got Smokey as a rescue at 6 months old so I don't know if the age he was sold has anything to do with the way he is or not. |
If I remember correctly Rusty was 6 weeks, Cheyenne was 7 weeks. Neither were sick and I have no complaints at all. Both seemed so happy to be here with us. |
