Where's the old doggies?? 1 Attachment(s) I see all the threads about little puppies and "1 year old birthday parties". My Yorkie is gonna be 7 years old next month!! :eek: But he still runs around and plays just like a puppy! :wub: (Excuse his messy hair, he doesn't like it "done"). Where are all the old pups?? :p |
My 2 are working their way towards 7. Bubba will be 7 on Oct. 2 and Roxy will be 7 on Dec. 2. There is a thread about the oldest yorkie on YT - I believe she is 16. But yes, it does seem like many of the folks who post have youngsters. But mine still think they are puppies too :aimeeyork:aimeeyork |

Buddy is 4 1/2 and will be 5 in Jan 09. I can't believe where the time went. Your baby is so cute. I think they just stay puppies forever:p or a least act like one. |
We have seniors here. We have three seniors here along with 2 young ones. Molly will be 12 in October and her two kids Casie and Button will be 10 in November. The years pass much too quickly! The good thing is that yorkies don't show their age like other breeds. Molly still looks beautiful! At her last vet check they couldn't believe she was 11 (at the time). We love all our fur babies and cherish each year with them. |

I have a 13 year old and a 3 year old. The eldest has always been grouchy so she has always acted old, she never played with toys or her sister maybe that is why she is so healthy for her age (she never wore herself out by playing!!:)). Emma, the youngest, plays all day with the cat, her toys and anyone around. I have had 3 Yorkies, all with very different temperaments, also one has curly difficult hair and othe other beautiful long silky hair. I dread the day that they have to "go" and just try to enjoy and love them every day. Is the oldest Yorky only 16?? |
He sure doesn't look like he is 7. He looks like a young pup. HAPPY 7th Birthday.. may you have many more wonderful birthdays. My oldest is only 3 she will be 4 in Sept. I had a terrier that was 16 when she passed. (Not Yorkie) I love all of the stories of how they still act young at an older age. Wonderful. |

Aww thanks everyone!! :luvu: He definitely still acts like a puppy! He could play tug-a-rope w/ me for HOURS!!!! And he still runs around w/ our 11-year-old (:eek:) Poodle! They love being outside! :) |
My oldest yorkie was a bit past 16 years when she died Dec 2006. I have a 12 year old, and 11 year old a 2 1/2 year old and a 15 mo old now |
My yorkie is 4 yrs old. Still a young one, but older than a lot of the babies on this forum. |

1 Attachment(s) Happy Birthday next month to Tristan. He sure is a handsome fellow and certainly carries his age well. I have two. Gizmo will be 11 on August 15th and Barkley will be 1 on August 16th. Probably could not have planned their birthdays so close together if I tried but it will be fun celebrating. Gizmo is in excellent health. Had TPLO knee surgery a year ago but only because he hurt it jumping too high to catch a tennis ball. He still acts like he is 3 years old. Gizmo is my teapot on the right and Barkley is the baby "brudder". |

wow...October is a popular month for the 7 year olds! Gracie will be 7 on October 22nd.....and still runs and plays like a puppy, too. Our beagle, Peaches, passed away in 2003 at the age of 17. |

Puppy Stages Artie is 4 yrs old, Abigail is 3 yrs. old and Pom Pom is 2 yrs. old. It seems like everyone on here is a "Newbie" w/a puppy or puppie's. There seems to be a huge gap in ages, either very young or very old and not too many in between? Not very many Middle aged Yokie's past their Puppy Stages? Although all Yorkie's act like Puppy's or Old Men w/unique personalitie's! |

It's so nice to hear about the older Yorkies and expecially that they are still energetic! Most dogs I have had just slept alot after they became older. So, this is a real plus for me! Hopefully my Misty will grow to old age! Pat |
