Update on the RV trip with 3 Yorkies
Well the RV trip did not turn out so well. Let's just say it was a huge hassle and my friend and I had different ideas on what camping meant. Worst of all, the thing I feared most happened - Sampson fell out of the bunk! I can't even tell you how terrifying it was. I didn't see it happen but he sure cried! He was stunned, but not the least bit injured. Unbelievable! He's my athlete. He jumps off the back of the sofa every day and can hike 5 miles. He's a strong little guy for 6 pounds.
I'm feeling terribly guilty for even trying to put my Yorkies in the bunk with me. I was just telling my friend that it wasn't going to work because they were too wound up and I was getting ready to put them down, when Sampson fell. I should have at least gotten the bed rails!
I'm just thankful that Sampson was not hurt. We went home early and the next day he was jumping off the back of the sofa and humping the teddy bear again. Good as new :-) If it had been one of our other Yorkies who fell, both females a little overweight, they'd have surely been injured. |
